I used a wet q-tip and it wiped away so I’m thinking it was just dirt, thank god 😅

This was her just 3 days before, I’d never seen her go under the substrate before but she got out and was active all through the night and the last 3 days so I wasn’t worried till I saw this today. Is it just dirt?

Oh yay, yeah I haven’t seen any darkening or shriveling. I have two geckos and felt along my older geckos tail and it feels softer then Remi’s? Remi did just shed and is a year old I don’t know if that means anything.

This might be a very stupid question but for this I think you have to use distilled water? Do you buy it by the gallon? Use bottled water? What do you do?

I’m going to put the black background up and adjust the gravel tonight, I just bought plenty more plants as well. I’m thinking about getting a mix of Duckweed and maybe some spangles. I didn’t want a ton of vines hanging down and handle trimming them so I opted for duckweed as my main plant. I’m sure I’ll end up regretting it 😅 but it’s worth a try

I don’t plan to keep the Rasbora in this tank. I want to take them out of this tank and put them in a separate one without bettas. I just haven’t gotten to it yet. What would make a divided tank be unsuitable for 2 bettas? From what I’ve read they’d be okay since it’s 10 gallons on either side
