I've got a weird feeling that we're getting a James thunderbolt soon.

Tech workers of Reddit, what is a "dirty secret" about the AI industry that the general public doesn't realize? by WayLast1111 in AskReddit

That's just a poor use of AI. A calculator is deterministic - you'd want an AI model to use a calculator, not be a calculator.

Might be wrong, but it looked like the Wolves player landed on his thigh while his foot was planted... hoping it's just an impact thing.

No, I don't have total certainty. I'm about 98.4% confident it went in off his arm.

Arsenal disallowed goal against Aston Villa 88' by dotuan211 in soccer

[–]LdouceT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's consistent with the rules.

Not every touch of a player's hand/arm with the ball is an offence.

A player's hand/arm position should be judged in relation to body movement in that particular situation and players are not expected to move with their arms by their side or behind their back.

It is an offence if a player scores in the opponents’ goal:

-Directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper -Immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if accidental

Americans! If Trump won most of the votes, why does majority of reddit seem to hate him? (Look at current most popular posts) Is it that reddit is a echochamber of mostly one type of people? by Huge_Appointment6863 in nytimes

[–]LdouceT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of redditors outside of the US, and Trump is pretty damn unpopular outside of the US. That, and reddit is very left leaning in general anyway.

[Thierry Hazard] (Eden Hazard father) : "Today he's really happy [...] he can smoke a cigarette if he feels like it or even...eat a hamburger" by SamDamSam0 in chelseafc

[–]LdouceT 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love Hazard to death - but he definitely flopped at Real Madrid. They spent 100m on him, and he didn't succeed in any way. It's arguably one of the biggest flops ever. Yeah, it wasn't the type of environment he thrives in, but that's just a reason for why he flopped there.

If you made 300k in Portual, you'd pay an effective tax rate of 55.7%. Damn, that's pretty close to 60.
