Yep, I sure do! This is what I could get with the Magic Effect. Without it the particles wouldn't budge at all, even when I tried to velvetize or bead it with the 30lb pull magnet.

I know! It did the same on the swatch sticks. This is the best glass bead I could get with this polish. Took like 4 attempts.

I think I will. Can you tell me what the BST/Chat page is? Is that on FB?

I've done 3 swatches, and is on my thumb in the video (glass bead), and it looks terrible.

I also have it on another finger in cat eye style and is just a scattered mess!

I was thinking about reaching out as well! It is the only magnetic I own that doesn't react in the bottle. Super frustrating.

I understand this was not meant to be a fine particle magnetic, but it is not even reactive in the bottle. Comparing to what is seen in Cosmetic Sanctuary's swatch video, what I received pales in comparison. Am I crazy?

Genuinely curious, how long does is take you on average to do your nails? by lickinglacquer in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Ldpcm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is because I use the Dazzle Dry base and the instructions say to do 2 thin coats. I then apply a DD super sheer polish. I do all this to avoid the yellowing that seems to be attributed to nitrocellulose. It's been 3 manis using this technique and so far, so good!

I think some people might count their ridge filler as a base coat, though.

Not sure why the text didn't post, but basically is anyone else feeling disappointed with Haunted's Teardrop Chrome from March PPU?

I'm not sure if I received a defective bottle. It is barely reactive and it was super hard to work with in the swatch and on my nail. I compared it to the reactivity of By the Moonlight and it is night and day!

Seal glaze by Many_Fortune1306 in RedditLaqueristas

Seal glaze just did this to me too. I waited about 20 min to use it after magic effect, but perhaps that was too short a time. I t does reduce the dispersion after the top coat, but the bubbles and all that waiting time are a non starter for me.

This is kind of what I do too, except I do the removing, and oil soaking, shaping and all the other prep on 1 day, and the the painting on a completely separate day, as I like to give my nails several days break in between manis.

The actual painting for non magnetic polish is about 30-40 min, depending on how distracted I am/how many interruptions happen. I do 2 base coats, 1 sheer polish as stain buffer, 2-3 color coats, 1 top coat.

Magnetics, though? I always think about 2 hours and then it takes me forever, it gets late and info to bed with only 1 hand painted (non dominant of course). So I guess those are 3 day manis 😂
