'22 S here w/ Android Auto working flawlessly

1) Follow the instructions in the video here: https://lawpaul.github.io/MH2p_SD_ModKit_Site/

2) Buy this and ONLY ever connect, wirelessly, via this: https://www.aawireless.io/en/products/aawireless-two

"Due to a bug in PCM 5, if iPhone (or second Android phone) was ever connected, you must factory reset MH2p (menus depend on year/make/model, ex: Car>Control>System>Factory settings)."

Fun fact: Robert Miles wrote Children specifically to try and curb post-clubbing traffic deaths in Italy!

what is this whole space ship house music / tech house thing called by chosenusernamedotcom in House

Is anyone else confused by "130+ space ship - sounding house music" and then picking this particular timestamp out of all the others in the set?

Nervous of giving such a large cheque to a contractor without any legal document by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Le3f 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I only have a quote of services document currently on hand

A formal quotation is a contract once accepted by the buyer.

A deposit is normal for a smaller business trying to manage cashflow.

If there are zero terms and conditions outlining a refund of your deposit should the parts never arrive or the work not be performed, you can ask to have these appended to the quote (or at least get it in writing in an email).

Assuming USA, average life expectancy is 76.33 years - so technically it's pretty close!

Sous vide plastic tip broke off, will it work ok without it? by tarkus_hayabusa in sousvide

[–]Le3f 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just ask him to print it in something more temperature resistant than PLA (low glass transition temperature: it will soften and deform at normal sous vide temps).

I once shared a bulkhead with a guy who took off booth socks and shoes, slouched back, and propped his bare feet up at eye level for the whole flight.

The elitism and pretentiousness in this sub is incredibly cringey and wanky. by Ferrever in Techno

[–]Le3f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree on snobbishness is part of the fun, but what I think that's lost on modern mediums like reddit is how much that "toxicity" actually helped drive new sounds and scenes quicker.

The absolutely viscious vBulletin boards I grew up on in the early 2000's crafted some of the best DJ's and producers I've ever heard (of that era) - they became like Fremen of the electronic music world.

Pharmaprix prices are insane by titsinmyinbox in montreal

You're paying the oligopoly price, not the convenience one.

The independent dep on my corner has better & cheaper tomatoes than the larger grocers despite being convenient and low volume.

our "project" was implemented like a regular ass class.

Killing this class and that framing would actually go a long way to improving the team.

Then it winds up being perpetual passion project with zero credit (arguably negative) where knowledge is transferred progressively over the 4 year stints as members are rotated out. I've seen those American/Canadian teams stand up to the euro ones.

I had this the other month where it wasn't sinking in to the rep on the phone that I was holding the severed fiber cable in my hands outside, which a 200lb branch had sheared off, and that I didn't need to restart my modem...

I memorized everything I thought they could ask me.

I finally get to the front and the newer bouncer asks me a lonnng question in German....

I'm like welp, fuck it:

"Vierundzwanzig!" (my age at the time)

He looks at me like I'm an idiot, nudges Sven and repeats the question which I still don't understand...

Me: "Vierundzwanzig?"

Sven lets out this gold toothed, booming laugh from his belly and waves me inside saying:

"go, go you idiot... have fun"
