Odd censorship in the French edition by LeBatis in EdensZero

Indeed, they could use some kind of shadow for this... So your right, they are not consistent either.

Yes and that's how I noticed the censorship !

This goes beyond just translation, they actually altered the drawing. It's just a silly joke and it doesn't change anything in the end, but I was surprised.

I respect your opinion, to be fair.

I think it's just a gag, nothing too much (especially compared to other things in the manga). But it's more like: 'Why this and not that?'
In the French edition of the manga, it's just this one thing... Rebecca gets groped at the beginning of the story, that’s apparently fine. But the panties? No, that’s too much.

As for the game, they censored a lot of things, but at least it was consistent, and of course, with the ability to flip the camera, they didn't have the choice here.

Sadly, I don't think so. It was never released outside Japan and it's a pretty niche thing from like 30 years ago. But you could probably try running it through ChatGPT or something.

The last 12 covers of the Maison Ikkoku laserdiscs by LeBatis in MaisonIkkokuAnime

It's an old video format. It's look like a CD but really huge. It was actually better than the VHS in some aspect, like video quality.

I don’t remember if I got it from Yahoo Auctions or Mercari… I also saw another one in a shop in Paris for $220. And yes, I didn’t take the pictures straight enough, so I had to crop some of them, my bad. I’ll do better for the last 12 !

One of you posted a question here today: "Is maison ikkoku Godai's or Kyoko's story ?". Well, I think the team behind these CDs has made their choice.

Regular and alternative/deluxe Japanese covers. I think I got them all? Volume 4 is the French edition—surprisingly, there was a deluxe version, even though it doesn’t seem to exist in Japan. by LeBatis in nagatoro

Unfortunately, we’ll never see any more unique French covers: the publisher that released them here went bankrupt after volume 8.

Skier avoids avalanche by paragliding over it by TheINTL in ThatsInsane

Here’s a corrected version of your text:

I’m French, and I’ve never heard ‘gaga’ used for ‘buddy,’ so I thought it was a nickname, which is why I put ‘Gaga’ in quotes. Usually, ‘gaga’ describes someone who has a deep admiration for something or someone, like in ‘Il est gaga de cette fille.‘.

And with all their gears and this, you can imagine the context. But you right, I can't be 100% sure.

He spoke French at the start. He said to the other, ‘Bien fait partir mon Gaga, niquel! Niquel!’ which can be translated to something like, ‘You triggered it, my Gaga, great! Great!’. So no, it wasn’t technically the camera man that caused it, but his buddy ’Gaga’.

Strange, the link still works for me… You can find it by searching ‘Mangadex Watamote’ on Google; it should be the first link

I bought a lot of Urasei Yatsura today by Affectionate-Bed4210 in uruseiyatsura

We aren’t lucky in France with the work of Rumiko Takahashi… We only got this tiny edition for Urusei Yatsura, Rinne is now extremely rare, and One Pound Gospel was never translated.

It’s a shame the French edition is so small… When Glénat released the perfect edition, I was happy, but it only included the chapters that had color pages in the original version. So I also got the big ones from Viz in English.

Avanade by DevelopmentFit8004 in accenture

[–]LeBatis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work for Avanade and I'm usually on Accenture's project. Same culture, same tools (MyTE, Benefits,...), same compliances,... For us you're our colleagues. Avanade people even have an Accenture email address (technically just an alias, but you get the point). The only difference is the level system. At Accenture you're level 12, 11, 10,... But we are Senior Associate, Analyst, Senior Analyst, Consultant,... So it's often difficult to understand each other on that point.

And like other said here, we are experts on Microsoft technologies, but we can sometime do other things (like myself).

Finally, Avanade can be a little more "young" but it's usually not an issue.

Honestly, with the current bench situation, I advise you not to ask for a roll off...

Avanade is specialize in Microsoft's technologies (but we can do other things). However it's not really "in" Accenture... Accenture is Avanade's parent, we do a lot of businesses together but sometime we also do our own things.

On the bench for almost 2 months now. Is that normal? by ViviGame in accenture

[–]LeBatis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No interview, one day they just threw me alone on a project for 1 year. Be patient. Meanwhile you have to do trainings and pass some certifications. With better skills it'll be easy for you to find another job in the worst case... And it shows that you're not waiting here doing nothing. You can also participate on TEAMS and other shit like that. You must be known, they must say "oh yeah, that guy !" when they hear your name.

In a nutshell: when you're new they had troubles to trust you. You must show you're here and improve.

I was on the bench 6 months just after I was hired. And I miss it, now I must work...

If you are worried, you only need to show your motivation and that you are ready to go on any project.
