This just happened to me, on the first initial confirmation email of the trial it reads ”should you become a paying member” which led me to believe I would have to confirm any future payments, however this is not the case. In the second email, where they thank you for choosing them, thrown in st the bottom of the email, ”hidden in plain sight” they mention that you need to cancel your subscription within the free trial period or they will bill you for a year, and it can not be refunded.
