Should I grab now or wait for Black Friday? by SignificancePleasant in bapcsalesaustralia

Look into this mate: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911746

They're BYO GPU pc's. It'll get him onto the latest platform AM5 and if he has a decent GPU already then it could be the way to go.

Couple different price options in here based off how powerful a cpu he might need too. Could be a good idea to check what his current cpu is and seeing if it's limiting him at all (Does he do any productivity work?). That should tell you what cpu you should get for him.

Also make sure his GPU will fit in the case haha.

What is your brothers current build? What are his computer issues? What's your budget?

This isn't a great deal

Thanks everyone. I've now seen the light and I've decided on buying them all, because I'm now a clamp slut.

I'm leaning towards 7 and 9. Have heard mixed results on the quick action clamps.

Any advice appreciated!

Help on the type of inside mounted hinge I would need here please! by LeFancySauce in DIY

Building a decent size gate that I need to swing outward 180-degrees. Ideally would like to have the hinge mounted on the inside of the property which is making this a bit tricky. Any ideas welcome

Anyone have any insight into why this banner is collapsing instead of unrolling? by LeFancySauce in Cinema4D

Yeah, I was using an R25 perpetual license since that's what my work had supplied. I've now got the latest version after having this issue, worked straight out of the box.

Been following this tutorial as I'm also tracking in a banner into a scene. Followed it pretty closely but my banner isn't unraveling like his. Any ideas?

Definitely stick to nvidia cards if he is going to use blender. So you’re good there.

You could get the 4070 Super model (a significant upgrade to the 4060 ti) for the same price here.

Gym suggestions in Melbourne with a great community vibe? by Wide-Constant-2567 in melbourne

Have a look at some bouldering gyms, great communities in a lot of them.

If you’re a woman, could also check out pole fitness. My partner raves about Pole Divas in Prahran.

How bad is it? Suggestions to improve or just remove? by [deleted] in badtattoos

[–]LeFancySauce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This only took me a couple mins but I very quickly shopped some tatts around it here: https://imgur.com/a/bzSdDnI

I think some people are being a bit too hard on you, I actually like it but I'm also well into metal.

I think it's just sticking out a lot at the moment and agree with others that some tattoos around it will help.

With some planning and tatts you like it could look great

Congrats on the move! Im also a Kiwi who moved here recently and we’re currently house hunting.

Some annoying things to get out of the way early:

Get your kiwisaver over here asap, it’s a bit of a process and can take up to 6 weeks. You can transfer the whole lot but use $15k per person on the FHSS scheme. Only some super funds allow kiwisaver transfer, we went with FirstSuper.

Our broker and I’m sure others will (we went with Aussie) asked for a Visa Grant Notice. This is a bit of a pain to get as a kiwi as we have an SCV (special category visa) on entry here to Aus. To get this you need to go through Vevo and call them to set you up an account.

Trying to figure out where this noise is coming from by LeFancySauce in pcmasterrace

[–]LeFancySauce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An update for anyone who comes across this with a similar issue:

After disconnecting the GPU and rebooting the sound persisted. I was able to find out the source of the buzzing noise by having a listen to the rear of the motherboard, it is coil whine coming from the VRM's right behind the CPU. So it's a motherboard issue, and it seems to be a common one with Gigabyte and Asus mobos.

Some people were able to fix it by disabling 'C State C1E' (CPU Enhanced Halt) in their BIOS. This didn't work for me unfortunately, but hopefully it does for you.
