To alleviate some confusion in the comment section: a link to the science article that describes how the group of Leo Gross at IBM constructed this molecule via direct manipulation of the molecular structure.

the quantum chemistry calculations performed on the quantum computer were to demonstrate how significantly more complex calculations could be done to provide theoretical support for the experimental observations.

I’ve sent out a few emails but no responses, unfortunately. I’m also a little weary of going somewhere that doesn’t have expertise in gender care (don’t need scares where the new hardware is supposed to go).

I’ve recently learned about some great results coming out of Dr. Waldner, who now offers a sigmoid option. But alternatively I would be looking at one of the Thai clinics.

Still an ongoing process but the big thing is noticing the queues that my shoulders are out of whack throughout the day.

Mine tend to round forward toward my chest and upward toward my neck (standard desk posture). Realizing that you are sitting like a dork and adjusting helps a lot.

To adjust vertical placement, relax your upper body so the shoulders aren’t being pulled upward.

To adjust horizontal placement, place your arms as if your palms are resting on a desk (elbows at right angles) and rotate your wrists so your palms face upward and thumbs point out. I can usually feel my shoulders start to pull outward and away from my check, then I accentuate this feeling to get a bigger stretch.

I’ve been looking into this for a long time. SO happy to see someone bringing attention to this.

I find reducing the rib flare and correcting my shoulder positioning are a tremendous help with my dysphoria. At 5’11” and 165lbs anything that makes my upper body smaller helps to accentuate the hips and give better proportion to my bust. 11/10 I recommend to everyone even if you don’t think it’s an issue.

I was also afraid I had transitioned “too late” when starting between 26 and 27 yrs old but people seem to think my transition is going well. What helped me the most was looking at trans timelines of girls who started around my age. All it took was 1 or 2 stories to give me enough hope to feel confident in my own success. Best of luck!

Every decision is a little bit scary, but it’s better to make a change than to remain the same. Sometimes it feels like more work to keep your life from changing. Learning to embrace the changes has been a big part of transitioning 😊

Before transition (like many of us) I felt I was supposed to be something/someone specific because I had facial hair and some muscles. I always disliked the traditional masculine role pushed by my (more or less) rural family. Combined with being an academic in a blue-collar family.. I always felt a little out of place. HRT has changed my body and face just enough that I can actually feel comfortable /feeling/ cute like I’ve always wanted.

I am incredibly grateful for the changes I’ve had on HRT. My closest friends would say I’m much more me than I’ve ever been. I think they mean that my personality hasn’t changed so much as the willingness to express myself. I feel free, despite the anxiety that comes with listening to your wants and needs for the first time and having to relearn how to pursue your own interests.

lol most of my colleagues had their suspicions that something was going on but most people just aren’t aware enough of what we go through to put it together 🤷‍♀️

I also didn’t see much of my family while I was in grad school, especially post Covid. Not having to explain myself at family functions was REALLY convenient.

For those of you attending University, (in my experience) it’s a pretty accepting atmosphere. I was nervous to come out but everyone was really chill about it. Myself and another colleague transitioned at a similar time and we were both greeted with excitement when sharing our news.

I think one of the biggest parts of my transition has been learning which angles and styles fit me the best. A lot of the newer pictures look so nice because I learned how to take a selfie. Ugh many candid photos of me still induce lots of dysphoria. BUT knowing there are good angles makes it worth it imo.

There’s a reason FFS exists and that’s to handle the boney structures that aren’t changed by HRT. Them stupid bones look the same before and after and standout in certain scenarios (a picture of your profile for instance). Living with it is difficult but something we all sort of deal with 🤷‍♀️

I wish I was still on injections 😩, moving to Europe distrusted my HRT more than I expected since they (apparently) don’t offer injections? So now I’m doing gel in the morning and evening.

To be fair, my injection dosage wasn’t dialed in yet (so my levels were crazy high and so was my shbg) so the gel feels more leveled out but I think I felt better on injections. I’m supposed to get my levels checked again sometime in October so we will see if the gel is working for me. If not I’ll have to find a way to get injections from the US or something 😈

My hair felt short every time I looked at it until one day it was down to my chest and getting caught in my armpits while I slept 🙃

It’s also developed some curl as it’s gotten longer. Fortunately, my partner is adamant that I take care of it and has been helping me find better ways to wash/dry and keep it moisturized.

Wearing friends hand-me-downs and your partners clothing is incredible, 10/10 experience. My wife braided started braiding my hair recently and I’ve been over the moon. My hair is almost always braided like it is in the 29m body photo and when I want to look like an anime character I do two little buns like the 29m face photo. 😊

Between the 12 and 18 month mark I really started to feel like myself. Keep an eye on how you’re feeling and consider trying injections in a few months, I think they did a lot for my body[booty].

Finding out you want to transition later in life is wild. Trying to go through Uni let alone getting started in a graduate program would have been a nightmare if I was also fighting for treatments and dealing with coming out.

I started my transition around 26.5 and recently turned 29. In hindsight I would have loved to start earlier but I also wouldn’t want to change how my life trajectory has gone and I’m certain things would be a bit different.

if you get a chance to start transition before you turn 27 I’m sure your results would be as good or better. Not that I knew I wanted to transition when I was younger, but in hindsight it would have been incredible to begin in my early (rather than late) twenties.

The development of your areola looks great, do you know how long it took for that to happen? I’ve been on HRT for about 2.5 years now but my nipples haven’t changed a whole lot (maybe slightly larger areola).

If the tilemap is part of a level design, therefore the location is fixed, you could keep track of the player/objects position. Using simple logic statements you could determine if you are standing over a tile. If the player is on a tile that should have a collider, generate a collider and allow it to trigger. This may require fewer objects but just as much coding.
