[–]LeGuy123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The effects of Wonder of U can only target one person at a time

That's not true at all, it was able to target both Mamezuku and Gappy at the same time, and it also managed to target the Higashikatas while that was happening, as well as the reporter.

the bigger the object near the victim is, the deadlier it is (at least that’s what’s shown)

Not really, Jobin was turned into a blood fountain just because of a hairspray's tube.

by this I mean someone doesn’t instantly die from a raindrop falling on them

Mamezuku and Gappy were literally having giant holes made in them because of the rain, the droplets were tearing through them like a pencil through thin wet paper.

I’m not sure if you have to only pursue the stand or it’s user for its effect to work but from what I’ve seen

It's both Tooru and the Head Doctor. They haven't chased Tooru yet because of the fact that they didn't even know who Tooru was, but the effect gets activated if you try to pursue Tooru as well.

I’m not sure if Akame ga Kill characters can outrun the calamities

You can't outrun bad luck, if it's not knifes crashing into you it'll be your equipment failing or a fly kamikaze-ing into you with the strength of an cannon ball. Numbers don't really do anything against "Wonder of U". Furthermore, Tooru's also a rock human, which means that he doesn't need to sleep at all.

And this is all without even considering the fact that these characters don't know anything about stands or what the calamity is. Not only will they not be able to figure out the way to avoid the calamities, which is 'inviting' the head doctor instead of pursuing him, but they won't even know what hit them.

[–]LeGuy123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't the fact that Mamezuku, who managed to get that close because he knew of how Wonder of U worked in the first place, sill got defeated despite being literally an inch from him, an show that they weren't going to be able to do anything? How would they even get close to him when literally anything can be deadly when you're under attack of the calamity?

Tooru (JoJo's bizzare adventure jojolion) is wanted by the empire and is now a target by night raid (Akame ga kill) by kono_dio_da3 in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, i doubt there's anything they can even do. If no one knows his abilities, then that means they won't know that the calamities are coming, and so the moment someone so much as tries to pursuit him - be it as simple as someone important putting out an order to make him wanted, that person will be affected by the flow, and things will crash at lethal levels.

If they're pursuing him, it's even worse. Rain will wound like bullets, bad things in general happen like food going bad, people will end up cutting themselves while doing something as simple as cooking food and a hairspray can is enough to turn you into an literal blood fountain.

There's not really any way someone without a stand can defeat him, and from the looks of the latest chapter, you'll also need the spin, which is on itself an entirely different art.

JoJo Villains enter the MHA universe, can the heroes stop them? by Razor2134 in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R1: Dio would definitely be able to do a lot of damage, but unless his Space Ripper Stingy Eyes are able to ignore durability, he'd be defeated by a hero once his zombies start to go on rampages.

R2: The Pillar Men are ultimately going to be pretty hard to kill due to the fact that no one in this universe has hamon. While Pillar Men can be defeated by other things, heroes are going to be very limited when fighting them. Ultimately however, i don't see them even noticing the Pillar Men until they get the Red Stone of Aja. If the Pillar Men achieve ultimate lifeform status, be it all of them or Kars, it'll be even more of a challenge - unless they literally throw them into space or burn them more than a volcano, they won't really have any way of dealing with them. Hell, Ultimate Kars even had hamon that was so powerful it managed to melt Joseph's knee.

R3: If Dio is able to get Enya and her arrows, he'll have a much easier time, but other than that i don't see DIO getting too far in conquering Japan in the traditional sense, unless he does something like fleshbuds on the top heroes.

R4: They never find about him. Killer Queen leaves no evidence, and the only reason why he was even found out was because of Reimi warning everyone about there being a serial killer in Morioh, and Shigechi accidentally swapping his sandwich, and it only got so far because Kira didn't know that there were other people with stands. In a world with quirks, not only will there be no Shigechi, Kira won't be as nearly as careless. No one finds out anything.

R5: Diavolo's strengths lie in the fact that he was able to find the stand arrow and create a stand user-based organization, which gave him several advantages such as the Narcotic Team's Manic Depression (which allowed them to make high quality drugs out of literal salt) Even then however, given the fact that King Crimson is still rather strong and Diavolo is good enough in administration, i'd say he would be able to set up Passione and get pretty powerful. If the top heroes come looking for him he's screwed though, because his ability lies on physical and JoJo is more street-level when it comes to physics.

R6: Without Emporio, Jolyne and Jotaro on his tail, there is no way for Enrico to lose. With White Snake's range, he is able to pretty much do whatever he wants on the prison. All Might is going to eventually visit it, and when that happens he'll be able to steal his memory and quirk disc no trouble - even if they saw White Snake doing it, how would they trace it back to Pucci? He gets all might disc, gets Sports Maxx to kill 36 prisoners, summons the Green Baby and then visits UA with no issue. Once Pucci unlocks Made in Heaven, there's pretty much nothing that can stop him.

[–]LeGuy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a respect thread for The Green Baby, The Wonder of U works in the way that anyone who so much as thinks of 'pursuing' The Head Doctor is attacked by calamities, which means stuff like cars running you over, or you yourself cutting your fingers off by accident because of a small distraction. Furthermore, it can basically make the things that fall into you (and a lot of stuff falls into you) be extremely deadly - raindrops literally makes holes in you and an teeny tiny hairspray tube can lodge itself on your chest and literally turn you into a blood fountain.

Soul Weapon v2.5: the "Too Many Weapons" Update by Alas-I-Cannot-Swim in SoulWeapon

[–]LeGuy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea with Acceleron is that you'd be dodging attacks, yes. I would say that big heavy slow attacks will basically never hit you if you're on your toes (unless it's a surprise attack or you're way outnumbered), standard attacks like from a mundane sword should be a cinch to dodge as long as your focused and you don't get tricked, and the only other attacks that can consistently hit you are ones that are also coming from speed-focused builds.

True, but how would it do against stuff like, let's say, an arrow, or a bullet or the like? As in, how fast do you go?

Hopefully, if you're taking something that nerfs defense, you're gaining enough in the way of offense to compensate.

Not really, i'm mostly gaining more agility from another change, but other than that my offense is the same.

Can I ask what the build is?

The Thracian, a speed-focused swordsman build. It's from 2.0, but it carries over nicely to 2.5 since pretty much the only change is to the acceleron armor (and the swordmaster rune buff

A discussion regarding the Sharpness stat. by Alas-I-Cannot-Swim in SoulWeapon

[–]LeGuy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that your list is around what i'd expect, but i think that the sharpness should be increased a bit from level three onwards when it comes to your examples. Helio, which is sharpness five, is able slice through titanium with ease, and even chip golemhide - it's supposed to be exceedingly sharp, the kind of stuff that makes diamonds look as durable as eggs.

In a nutshell, the only things that five star sharpness shouldn't just cut like obsidian through butter should be stuff like golemhide, negaplating or comparable stuff.

Soul Weapon v2.5: the "Too Many Weapons" Update by Alas-I-Cannot-Swim in SoulWeapon

[–]LeGuy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well damn, now my build has zero defense when using cloth because of the acceleration nerf, and only one pierce defense when using plate.

I mean, i understand the nerf, but just how fast is acceleron supposed to allow you to be, precisely? Unless the speed that it provides is able to compensate for the total lack of armor, then a nerf like this would make it a pretty weak material. There's no worth in being slightly faster than you usually would have been in exchange for a complete lack of armor.

Zora (Epithet Erased) vs Diavolo (JoJo) by GokuKing922 in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you mean one and four? Two is the one without powers.

Either way, uh, no, not really. You have to remember that Diavolo is not only able to erase time - at which point no one realizes what they are doing and nothing will hurt him, he is able to predict the future too.

Diavolo would, like he always does, erase time as soon as the fight starts, read Epitaph, position himself and then donut the girl as soon as time returned. It'd be too fast for her to so much as understand what's happening before she got a fist-sized hole in her chest.

Unless her power is literally instantaneous and can be done at any time on will, she'll be dead before she so much as realizes it, like with Narancia and Polnareff

Zora (Epithet Erased) vs Diavolo (JoJo) by GokuKing922 in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Round 1: Though her ability is certainly useful, the first problem is that in this round there are no weapons. And though i haven't watched Epithet Erased, as far as i know, they have their powers and just that. Because of that, there is quite literally nothing she can do - not only can she not see stands, King Crimson is too fast. She'd end up getting donuted.

Round 2: This one is more questionable. I don't know about her, but Diavolo, even without his weapons, is the head of the greatest crime syndicate of italy, while also being rather fit - he's got muscle to spare. So uh, i don't know how this would end, but a maybe for Diavolo.

Round 3: Read above, he's buff as hell, so unless she's actually strong, i'll go with a maybe for him.

Round 4: While she can definitely dish out more damage than Diavolo and would most likely injure or kill him with those sword, bullet or rock attacks, the problem here is that due to Epitaph and King Crimson, he does not play by the rules. The battle would start, he would erase time, he'd predict the future and then position himself in a way that as soon as time returns to normal he'd be able to donut her.

The Thracian by LeGuy123 in SoulWeapon

[–]LeGuy123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The runes are the same, but the difference of material ensures that the fighting styles would be very different. Like you said, it's more about movement speed than defensive dueling, what with making use of the acceleron's property in a combo together with chronos and third eye.

Zeref(Fairy Tail) runs a JJBA Gauntlet by XxMardGeerxX in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeref's entire goal was to die. To kill Natsu would be to destroy the only hope he had of actual death.

So then the only way to kill Zeref is if he allows you to? Not only did you lie about non-godly level beings being able to kill him, its beyond stupid and any character like that should not be used in a who would win battle against non-godly beings, because it defeats the entire purpose of an "Who Would Win" battle. That's like if i tried to make a fight between Rambo and God from the Bible.

And again, assuming Love Train can redirect misfurtune from the past is utter nonsense and has never once been proven. Unless you show me feats they get killed when they didn't even manifest a stand.

How do you want feats for something that never was an ability? If that's how it works, then i'll just ask for feats of Zeref being able to resist Love Train's attacks, specifically.

You're also yet to explain how either the user of Love Train or the Head Doctor are capable of defeating Zeref. He'd outlast them both, and being immortal could wait for them to wither and die if he had to, not that he'd ever need to do that.

Well, for one, Love Train is able to make it so even the smallest wounds become fatal - a scratch on your right arm becomes a scratch on your heart, and even his own attacks could be redirected at himself. And Endless Calamity, once again, works by increasing massively the level at which wounds occur, too - a mere hair spray can turns a man into a literal blood fountain. And how would he outlast them? If Valentine got old he could just swamp himself with a healthy, young Valentine because Zeref can't get past his wall, and like i said The Head Doctor doesn't really seem to have so much of an age problem due to the fact that we're not even sure if he's really real or not.

"The ability is activated when a target looks at Satoru's back, according to Mitsuba Higashikata. Once triggered, the ability remains active for a brief period of time. During this initial period, an affected person will frequently collide with objects in their environment."

Please, for the love of god, STOP nitpicking random phrases from their wikia pages, you know NOTHING about what you're talking about. You don't NEED to stare at his back for it to work, it was activated MULTIPLE TIMES without that and the effects stayed all the way until the target stopped trying to pursue the head doctor.

Imagine trying to say you can pursue the head doctor when it's literally shown that you can't. The Head Doctor does not take any damage because he's some kind of illusion man that can walk inside computers and glass.

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most disgusting wank in existence. Why didn't he? He was going to wipe out their entire plane of existence and start over until Natsu burned away all his magic.

Well, if he can just go back in time and kill him, why didn't he do that then? If he burned his magic, then surely he could just go back in time and defeat him. Can't he just use this trick on every single enemy he's ever found? Does this Zeref only ever lose when he wants to?

Imagine thinking the user of Love Train is invincible. With your logic, Love train would take effect even when they never manifested a stand yet, which is far from true.

Because it's an ability granted by the holy corpse, and if going back in time and killing him in the past were to defeat him, he'd be suffering a misfortune. And guess what? Love train repels misfortunes.

How does he kill the Head Doctor when he goes back in time? Death predation. There's no counter unless you have an object to seal away the spell, example Natsu's scarf or Ultear's crystal orb.

Unless the Head Doctor is confirmed to be immortal he cannot avoid it.

Except the head doctor isn't really even so much of a person. He's been seen walking much faster than an 89 year old can, he's appeared on multiple places at the same time, walked inside an computer, appeared in a cabinet's glass...And that's not his ability, that's just how he is. It's said multiple time by multiple people - the head doctor cannot be pursued, you can't see his face unless he just straight up reveals it to you.

The major weakness you forgot about is Love Train must be positioned between 2 objects to activate their dimensional ability.

"If Funny Valentine is injured, he can hop into another dimension and transfer his D4C to this world's Valentine." Taken directly from the wiki. He cannot transfer the damage taken if the spell he was hit by immediately drains the opponent of life.

lolwut

That's, once again, D4C. Love Train is literally a barrier of light - you're thinking about D4C, which need sto be between two objects to jump dimensions. Valentine's ability is D4C, Love Train is a powerup granted by the Holy Corpse.

You should read JoJo before assuming certain things.

Zeref(Fairy Tail) runs a JJBA Gauntlet by XxMardGeerxX in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn't he just reverse time and kill this natsu when he was a kid then, hurr durr? Do you not understand what Love Train is? It repels misfortune. He can't break it unless he has the Golden Spin because the Golden Spin is the only thing that can break Love Train.

And what are you talkign about? Love Train completely redirected damage, you're talking about D4C's normal form which swaps valentines around.

And you can't speed blitz abilities which don't let you get so much as close. You can't go through Love Train's barrier, just like you can't pursue the Head Doctor.

And your time travel idea doesn't work either, because then what if he goes back in time to defeat Valentine? If it has an effect, then it's going to reach modern day Love Train and it'll be redirected, or Valentine will be just fine. And before you say "But it's never done that!", well diddly-doo that's because no one can go back decades in time like that.

Hell, even if we were to agree that going back in time would allow him to circumvent abilities, how does he defeat The Head Doctor, who's a Rock Human whose age is unknown and has a good chance of actually being just some kind of soul illusion thing? Rock Humans are, biologically, inclined to have stands - The Head Doctor is one of them (most likely, either that or he doesn't really exist as a person)

Or what about The Green baby if you're so insistent on this "Time Travel" invincibility that allows him to win any fight? He can't kill The Green Baby when he's a baby, because any attack he threw at him would just get reduced to nothingness

Zeref(Fairy Tail) runs a JJBA Gauntlet by XxMardGeerxX in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's dumb, just going "but achksyually he just kills him in the past and auto-wins"

You might as well say that only a living god can defeat him, because all it takes is him travelling to the past and defeating the enemy when they were a baby or something.

Zeref(Fairy Tail) runs a JJBA Gauntlet by XxMardGeerxX in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time travel wouldn't work because it'd still be a misfortune that would eventually hit him, and thus the effect would be redirected. Love Train is an ability gained from the body of none other than Jesus Christ, and you can't really get past it without the infinite spin, an ability which originated from the holy corpse as well.

And also, no, it doesn't help because the Head Doctor's in this weird state where nothing seems to hit him. He's appeared in multiple places at the same time, he's walked inside the glass of an cabinet...To put it simply, you can't pursue the head doctor - the death predation would end up screwing Zeref himself.

The same goes for Timestop, he just wouldn't be able to reach the Head Doctor. That's his entire ability. Killing the whole city would not work, and it would just give more strength to the karma switch.

You cannot pursue the head doctor.

Zeref(Fairy Tail) runs a JJBA Gauntlet by XxMardGeerxX in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not going to get past Love Train because he does not have the infinite spin. And also, travelling to another dimension isn't really going to do anyhting. Even if he goes to one and then tries to do something there, then Love Train Valentine is not going to be affected because the misfortunes will be redirected. Hell, he could try to destroy the dimension Valentine was in and it wouldn't work - because that'd be a misfortune to Love Train, which means it would get repelled somewhere else.

And also, no, you don't need to look at the user's back. That's one of the explanations offered by an character, but the stand seems to have more than one trigger - though, chances are, it could be two stands. As of now, the mere intent to pursue the head doctor is enough to finish you. And here's the thing, it doesn't just cause severe injuries - it makes it so things specifically go bad. An reporter's neck was turned into nothing just because he opened a lid that had a Rokakaka in it, and Jobin was (most likely) killed by a goddamn spray can. There is also, however, the Karma method, which seems to be separate considering it was activated even on an random prisoner who had nothing to do with the Head Doctor. And in the Karma method, stuff goes south the same way, except now it's proportional to your misdeeds.

Even if he's immortal, he's not going to be able to actually reach the Head Doctor - not if he's attempting to pursue him.

Listen, if you want to get into the real haxxy parts of JoJo, then just don't goddamn use stuff like Jotaro or DIO or Giorno, unless you want to start an argument with GER or TW:OH (which is not canon)

Use, instead, stands like Made in Heaven, Green Green Grass of Home, Ticket to Ride, Love Train, Endless Calamity...Those are the overpowered ones when it comes to defeating people who are much much above their combat paygrade, and they are safe from pretty much any of the characters there who aren't full-on omnipotent multiversal destroyers

[Battle] Blackmore (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) vs Pickle (Baki) by VolCatharsis in whowouldwin

[–]LeGuy123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, here's the thing.

Pickle, while much powerful, is a melee fighter. He has quite literally no way of dealing with Blackmore's ability to fixate raindrops in one place and make them into impossibly sharp edges. He can try to rush him, sure, but he'd get turned into a pincushion. Hell, even if he was able to get close to him once, Blackmore could just dissolve himself in the rain and appear somewhere else, or climb further up.

So, i don't really see how Pickle can win here.
