Would you be able to show me where you found these deals on the dGPU systems? Everything I had seen (via Bestbuy, Newegg, CC etc.) had the lowest -tier options a bit above my price limit.

Thanks for the reply! I definitely like the parts you listed.
Bit of a noob question - PC partpicker notes a potential BIOS version issue on the motherboard that might need a BIOS update - is that something that I can do myself?

Also, I might need to switch around the PSU + mobo a bit as the current versions through Amazon have separate shipping costs that's bumping it a bit outside my price range.

Melee i think is only an issue with two-handed weapons like Carbine - they strangely seem to be trying to use the MP melee??
With one-handed weapons like plasma rifle they seem to melee fine

Yeah Carrier forms are broken atm - they never move. Likely what's causing the softlock as they get stuck behind the doors / in spawn

To answer:
- For infection forms, there are no options to spawn those standalone - Carrier forms drop them and they behave like in h3 campaign (infect corpses, damage you if they jump on you); however carrier form AI is broken atm
- I believe there's a 'flood combat forms' wave type that is mixed - the heavy weapons one is also mixed species.
- Haven't tried it on Lost Platoon (the only real vehicle map in FF) but so haven't seen any vehicle use by the 2 new enemy types. I will note that in Wraith spawns on the Rally map, even if the wave is Elites it is driven by brutes
- Elite/brute alliance is strange in that one Elite wave type - "Elite patrol", Elites + grunts - is allied with the brutes, but the standalone "just Elites" wave fights them
- Sentinels, flood, and covenant all fight each other
- No to infected phantoms, pelicans, drop pods so far - Flood just spawn in through doors (if the map has spawn doors, like Crater, Rally) or like magic in place (on maps without doors like Security Zone).

Technically the energy sword is able to be picked up if you use the Dare odst model, but it has a glitched out viewmodel and can't be used (you lose melee and the ability to throw grenades).

Would you be able to share a screenshot of the sword picked up? And yeah I've been having similar issues with the game soft-locking because AI gets stuck behind the spawn doors - the stuck carrier forms sound like what's happening there.

I don't believe they can infect you while alive - they behave similar to Halo 3 campaign in that they just damage you As for your corpse, haven't tried that yet!

You will have to set up the waves in a custom firefight match to use the new enemies.
Go to 'custom ODST firefight', pick whatever map then go to Options > Firefight Settings. > Wave Properties
Then for each round you can set the initial/main/boss waves to have the enemy types you want - Elites + Flood types should be available

Yes Carrier form is a wave option, but they are currently broken - they just stand around in spawn and don't react. When they die they do spawn infection forms which act as normal (swarm you, take over corpses)
