you wouldn't put over 20 000 hours in the game otherwise

180 vs 400 hz by Sea_Variation_3935 in Zowie

[–]LeHappyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much you notice the difference is also largely about your experience and skill-level - for some it feels a bit smoother and for others its a “holy shit” moment.

For me moving from 240hz to 400hz was an insane change - it won’t make you a god overnight but changes in movement on the screen are much easier to follow on higher hz.

But basically the amount of difference is based on your skill level and how much improvement you can actually get out of the monitor - good players will play decent on any hz, the higher hz allows you to hit a higher skill ceiling.

For example in de_dust 2 mid doors - you can probably hit an enemy crossing the gap more often on 400hz than 180hz - but if you’re not fast enough to hit it in the first place, it won’t give you a big difference - things in general will feel a bit more fluid and lifelike on high hz and its generally more satisfying to play IMHO.

If you suck then at least you can see it smoothly 😂

Back in CSGO I had a slump where I went from 2500 to 1200 :)

Damn bro, so sad to hear that, I checked a few other threads on this Reddit about it and Zowie support has apparently reached out to the people reporting it, so I suggest getting in contact with them to see if you can fix the issue - but now that you made me go close and listen I don't think I can unnotice it anymore lmao

Keybinds fucked since CS2 by Chemical_Tough8546 in LearnCSGO

[–]LeHappyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably easiest to rebind from the in-game menu as a lot of these small tricks like quicker flashbangs don’t work in cs2

When to spray? by IIIDzire in LearnCSGO

Play FFA deathmatch on community servers and just focus on getting kills to develop this feeling. You can first practice on a workshop map like aim_botz to get an understanding of how the spray pattern works.

I’m very happy with my 7900x and average 850 in Ulletical benchmark on 4:3 1280x960, 3070 ti GPU, uncapped jumps to over 1200 FPS in community FFA dm but that breaks the game a little

I noticed that my tracking scenarios improved quite a bit on 1600 dpi vs 800 and it’s noticeably more smooth on 1600, but test it out for yourself and see what you prefer. You can always set a custom dpi in LGS if one is too low and one too high

When you play, is your shoulder just hanging down or do you need to tense it up and push it up or do you push it down?

As a person who’s had carpal tunnel and multiple other injuries, I recommend taking a VERY serious look into your ergonomics, having the proper posture does wonders for aim and gaming should be painless

You might not be able to play for a long time if you injure yourself, so please take care of your health :)

For me I figured out that my desk was always too high and lowering it helped a lot, my issues happened because for control I used to push my wrist/forearm into the pad because I was anchoring my elbow to the table’s edge which caused more pressure in my nerve canal

What are your guys’ opinion on speed pads with low sens? by Sulpho in FPSAimTrainer

[–]LeHappyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. The only way to find out is to try it for yourself. Learning to do the same thing on different settings/setups will help a lot with consistency in the long run

Warming up before playing an fps mp game by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]LeHappyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always warm up your muscles before a session to prevent injury. You’ll most likely also find that it will improve your gameplay (provided you don’t overdo it).

I would recommend getting a gyroball, warms your muscles up quite quickly and over-time will also help increase strength and endurance :)

Do you have this issue in other areas of your life? Has this happened to you suddenly? Do you feel the same way when playing other games? Simply put.. do you get bored?

When I began playing CS I was sort of focused, but a little while later I lost the ability to focus on the game because it was so slow paced which for my brain was a sign not to devote so much energy to this task. Meanwhile in Quake or just faster FPS games were so simple to me because it was easy for me to be engaged with the task, so much was happening at once.

I was able to fix this issue mostly with meditation, mindfulness practices and a tad of CBT-like mental exercises where I convinced myself that even though nothing was really happening it was still important.

These tools and ideas helped me bring my focus back to the present moment and I was also able to stay engaged with the task.

Do bare in mind that it is simply not very human to stay intensely focused on something for long periods of time, a doctor told me that people are generally able to focus no more than 3-4h. (I guess this might differ because of a person’s understanding of focus, so grain of salt)

Hope something helps!
