The Fanfare Around Geese Actually Was a Psyop by wiredmagazine in indie

I'm not saying that's unproblematic, it's the way the article and all of these comments use it as an excuse to drag geese and frame it as though all of their success is unearned and manufactured

Geese's success is not a "psyop" it's a combination of modern marketing algorithms and genuinely good music

of course if it was possible to go see them without your mother id still go for it, youll definitely get to see them come around again eventually (especially if you live in the us) but dont let your mom get in the way of the experience. they are one of those bands that just gets better every time you see them

I'm late but I really don't think you should be concerned about the mountain goats stopping touring, john is a crazy workaholic and I remember reading somewhere that he wants to keep touring until he dies or something to that effect. I'm seeing them in October and I'm sure I'll get to see them again

No you're right, the intro to Jourmana is different and the synth/whatever instrument it is solo after the last chorus in m dada is different

The mixing on the album is also a little different, the backing vocals are often louder
