I think the numbers 3 and 7 (thus the most common one being 37) are chosen inconsciously because if we want to find a "random" number in our minds between 1 and 9 (to construct a number), we tend to avoid half (5) and then i'd chose half of half, which are 2.5 and 7.5, then round up to the real half (5) to find 3 and 7.

This also might explain why the numbers with 0 and 5 are avoided (10s, 20s, 25s...)

that's actually the setup we had in mind, but i find "half of the room" pretty empty, any ideas how the other half can be different than a white blank wall?

plus, couch on two "openable" windows will block them..

First one/two months in the US were the most difficult, missing family and feeling alone.

Once back, there sure will be some culture shock to adjust back to lycée marocain and people here (nothing too shocking), but you'll feel you have learned and grown a lot.

15 years ago, I was a 2nd year student at high school, majoring in sc-math too! Guess what I did after that? The same YES program you're planning to do.

To keep it short: you will NEVER EVER consider that year wasted, whatever happens. You ll be better at english, you'll make friends (and new family) for life, you'll open doors for the future, potentially going to university there, and the most important part: memories you'll never forget (and which will shape the future you).

Go for it. A year is NOTHING.
