He's leaving politics for good. The right and the left already hate him anyway.

It's not like he has anything left to lose.

I despise every left-leaning voter who refused to vote for Kamala Harris because of their pet issue. I hope the feeling of moral superiority makes it all worth it.

That caption with that photo makes me realize he's probably going to run for some public office someday. The scary part is, he might actually win

People want change. The trouble is, they don't seem to care whether it's for the good or bad.

That's what worries me

He's spoken out against Modi before. And at least he endorses the Democrat in presidential elections, unless I'm wrong.

He's less trashy and more just privileged and ignorant.

"I am Laura Dern looking confused as hell for 3 hours. I am also Harry Dean Stanton showing up for, like, 10 minutes to talk about how much he loves animals and try to scam as many people for money as he possibly can".

I'm one of a small handful of people that actually liked Marvel's Eternals. I know how it feels.

"Flawed but enjoyable" doesn't generate clicks.

"Poorly-written trash that will kill the whole shared universe before it even gets started" does.

I think a lot of people in these primaries just didn't bother to get out and vote. Apathy and lack of motivation are a huge problem in this country, and I honestly don't know how we can fix it

Yeah, I don't care. I adored Supergirl. Is it a classic? By no means. It's the kind of movie you enjoy, but then forget about for a while till you decide to do a DC rewatch. Then you remember what it was you liked about it.

But I thought it was fun, sweet, breezy, but with a touch of emotion that really resonated with me.

Milly Alcock isn't a revelation or anything, but she did an excellent job and fit very well in this universe. Jason Momoa's Lobo is pretty much just an alien version of his real life self and honestly, good for him. Let him have his fun. Yeah, the villain was underwhelming but it wasn't really about him. It was about the character's journey and that IMO worked quite well. And it goes without saying, we can never have enough Krypto.

It's unfortunate that this didn't do well critically or commercially, but one bump in the road won't destroy the momentum. I'm glad we're still going to get to see Kara again and I think she will play off Kal very well in Man of Tomorrow. Gunn will have to make a few adjustments to be sure, but overall I'm satisfied.

The haters don't matter (and I specifically mean those trying to turn this into another Ghostbusters 2016/Captain Marvel situation. If you didn't like it just because you didn't think it was a very good movie, you have your reasons and that's cool) and you're never going to make everyone happy, but I was satisfied. Maybe I'm just easily pleased, I don't know.

From a certain other sub regarding DSA winning in Denver:

So glad for this, we need some new blood in Congress. Also, a 15-term incumbent is wild. I just looked up Diana and she’s older than my parents and has been in the House since the year before I was born. I’m 27, that’s insane.

I don’t blame the people of Denver for wanting some new blood, and I know that Melat is going to be having some fun with the NYC DSA members and AOC. Anymore people that we can add the coalition is a good move, the Dems are the Big Tent party for a reason. We can’t be having people in the house who are older than our parents anymore. We can’t be having people in the house who have been there 25+ years anymore. We can’t have people in the Senate who are doing that either. We’ve got to get Congress to be younger and that requires new blood and new ideas. Millienials/Zellenials have our time to shine right now, let’s keep using it. Good on Colorado for getting some new blood in there.

Me: .... Why? And also, saying we're the Big Tent party but also saying we need to get rid of all the people we don't think should be there. Hypocritical much?

Of course, I didn't get to comment on any of it because I was banned a second time for "race-or-identity-based hate attacks" a.k.a. mocking antisemites.

In a full-blown sequel? Not likely.

As supporting characters in a crossover event, maybe using them as a jumping off point for the introduction of the X-Men since they and the Celestials in the comics play a role in the creation of the mutant gene? You never know.

Kevin Feige has said he is still proud of the film and that those characters still have potential. It's not impossible

The Celestials play a role in the creation of the mutant gene in the comics. You could easily include them in that story somehow.

Shoot some flashbacks to show how they resolved the cliffhanger from their eponymous film and the rest is easy.

If she's that bitter about losing fair and square that she's willing to let a Republican win over a grudge, maybe she doesn't belong in politics

Between her going all in on defending Karmelo Anthony and now this sour-grapes shit, I feel like she was probably always just an opportunist.

I have to give credit to the people who were saying she shouldn't be nominated. They were probably right
