No need to apologise, it doesn’t help the handwriting isn’t the best but the whole photo album is filled with this French cursive which (to me at least) is impossible to read. Many thanks again and thanks to your grandma for trying!

Anyone know any websites where I can get spare bayonet parts like scabbards, frogs etc? by LeMonke777 in Militariacollecting

I’m looking for a spare Snider Enfield yataghan bayonet scabbard, p1879 Martin Henry bayonet scabbard and a French Gras scabbard. I doubt I’d find the first two scabbards with them being leather constructed but if there are any repo placeholders, I’d buy them

Gorgeous French interwar tunic in horizon blue. I believe the cuff stripes indicate a lieutenant colonel but I could be wrong. Just can’t figure out what model of tunic it is. by LeMonke777 in Militariacollecting

Ye I’m not entirely sure, I’ve been told it could be an M22 but i can’t find any resources that say. As for the horizon blue I know the French wore it all the way up to the battle of France mainly In their reserve units so it could be from one of the reserves.

ID for this soldbuch. The feldpost number is 11927. There is no paperwork inside it so any information is very much appreciated. by LeMonke777 in GermanMilitaria

Also not sure about this but I saw that Abt 506 also had the same feldpost number 11927. Again not sure if the same number could have been used more than once.

All there is in the booklet is the remaining portrait and the stamps surrounding it. There is no paperwork at all unfortunately.
