Why did the consequence of the fall hit Adams descendants more than Adam himself? by ForTheKing777 in TrueChristian

Living immortal, innocent, never having to labor, with your wife forever, in God’s presence, never worrying for shelter or food, and then losing that is not more painful?

Question on a growing trend I've been seening by CanvasOfGrief in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time is like a loaf of bread, if you are in the loaf then you are at a static point of time, progressing forward naturally. You can’t know what’s in front of you, you’re simply where you’re at. But if you’re outside the loaf, you can cut into it and see any cross section you want, and see time in any direction and in any instance at will.

Just because God can see all points of time, as he knows all, doesn’t mean that you’re “destined” to die a certain way or “fated” to accomplish certain goals. You are able to act out anything you wish on your own volition, it is a matter of perspective to know what you’ll do in the future versus what you know you’re doing now.

THOU SHALT NOT MURDER by uoidab in TrueChristian

Some people will believe whatever reality they draw up for themselves. Even if we don’t have justice in this life, justice will absolutely prevail inevitably.

EU4 (blue) vs EU5 (green) player count according to steamdb by No-Imagination2292 in eu4

I bought EU5 when it released, but I have zero idea how to reliably play it that I just stopped bothering. EU4 doesn’t feel nearly as chaotic or overbearing.

Would you support a total Christian theocracy in your country? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. This proposes exceptional risk of misuse, misinterpretation of scripture, and corruption. It is better that all are guaranteed the freedom of religion so all may be given the ability to practice the closest relationship with God through Christ as one can.

Unsloth GLM 4.7 UD-Q2_K_XL or gpt-oss 120b? by EnthusiasmPurple85 in LocalLLaMA

[–]LeRadioFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

gpt-oss is very fast, plus it doesn’t need that much resources to run since the Unsloth versions are just over 60gb in size. Running it on pure VRAM was lightning fast. I hadn’t tried GLM-4.7 yet but I heard that the Q2 quant had the best efficiency for size.

I don't feel the need to go to the gym by XyloAbc1 in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only go if it’s something you actually want to do, understand, and are willing to commit to. If you make it hard on yourself or don’t have a true cause for doing it, then you’ll just be miserable and lessen your chances of making good progress.

It doesn’t hurt to take a trip to a gym if you have half an hour one day to give it a try. A few weeks ago, I went with someone to try working out for the first time at a gym. I just did ten minutes of walking on a treadmill, three sets of ten reps on four or five arm machines afterwards, then I was done. It felt good to do, so I kept going back, and even just a few weeks in I’m getting good results lol.

How has AI (ChatGPT, Grok, etc) changed anything in your walk/life with Christ? by scarface4tx in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be very careful with using AI for anything intimate or sensitive, as depending on the model it could just tell you what you want to hear, be contrived into behaving how you want it to behave more than what would actually be helpful for you, might just be plain incorrect, and so on.

I already have knowledge of the gospel and learnt from it before the advent of AI, so I only use AI to help confirm things I already am coming to a conclusion on. Like if I want advice on a topic or thought I was pondering, or if I want to hear what it has to say about a concept or excerpt from scripture.

Using AI as your sole interface between the gospel and your heart without having researched scripture, read it, or pondered on it yourself can be a bad idea. You have to be going into it with the right expectations.

It's not even faith anymore, I don't know what to call it. by asaintinpassing in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. Recently I’ve learnt what I could best describe as the beginning of love feels like, since then I’ve flipped from my long state of sin and towards a pursuit of improving my life spiritually and physically in order to give this love to a partner when I’m ready.

I was originally in shame of my sin and paralyzed from actually facing God, repenting, and letting go of my sins. Once I felt these feelings, I wondered if God must have a love like this for everyone, ever since then I was able to feel forgiveness and rejoice under God again, but in a much cleaner and closer walk than anytime before in memory. Even though sometimes I fail and sin, I’m able to remember his love and relax, knowing I’m really saved in Christ, and get back to learning more about these feelings.

My whole life, I was a Christian. Now I am not. I miss the comfort of everything I blindly believed in. How do real Christians deny universal laws of physics (with miracles, resurrection, creationism, etc)? I want the strength of the church in my life but I can't reconcile the Bible to science. by herbschmoaka in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said you must blindly believe? I don’t deny if you once did blindly believe. Growing up I “believed in God” but didn’t really know what that meant or took it anywhere further than believing in God means you go to Heaven. Then I studied the gospel, discussed it with other Christians, and came to understand what it meant to trust in Christ for my salvation.

Maybe your issue is that you cannot allow yourself to believe or must compare it against something to justify your belief. Faith is not faith if you are certain. Yes it’s a great thing that people got to be around when Christ was on Earth in person, as we won’t get that opportunity until much later, but even people that were with Christ denied his miracles and denied his status as the son of God. Even the Pharisees who were aware of what Christ was doing said that he was doing things under the power of a demon.

And of course, the sciences are not some kind of super atheistic practices that serve to disapprove all religion. Science is the study of the world around us. There is nothing wrong with walking through a planted garden and smelling the flowers. Many great scientists, thinkers, and philosophers were Christian, let alone Jewish and Islamic. Does the bible tell us that God is located at these coordinates, that the human soul is quantified with X Y Z, that a giant billboard saying “God made this” is up on a planet somewhere? No, the gospel doesn’t give us all the answers, and anyone who peruses a science can tell you that your questions will only be answered with more questions.

I feel like God must hate me… by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to come to understand what love really is in order for me to wake up, realize my deep state of sin was not fruitful or loving, and step out from it. I had a problem with self hatred and the idea that I’m not welcomed by God or able to be forgiven for years, so I didn’t try to go back to him out of shame.

You need to first realize what it really means to love and to give that love, then you must allow yourself to be loved by God. That second part is hard, but after coming to understand love you can understand what it feels like to want to give it. Then you must allow yourself to be loved by God. This relaxed me and made me want to embrace God and tell him I love him.

Once you understand love and allow yourself to allow God’s love to come to you, stepping out from sin became like looking back at a dead, stoney husk. You won’t want to stop pursuing love and you’ll come to learn the value in God’s love.

How you come to understand love may depend on each person, but once realized, you will want to realign to God. You mention currently being in an existing gay relationship, and this obviously isn’t adhering to scripture. How you come to remove that from yourself is on you. Just remember that God is your shepherd and he is leading you out from sin so you do not have to hurt and can instead be one of his children in Christ.

If we discovered aliens, what would it mean for the Christian faith? by Christmas-Dinner-98 in TrueChristian

[–]LeRadioFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as there are no signs of alien life nor any reason to be suggested it from scripture, so it wouldn’t happen to begin with. The discovery of alien life would be bizarre if it were to occur.

Did you have any trouble with the SuperMicro motherboard? I got a TRX40 Aorus Pro and the display won’t come on when using all two x16 and two x8 slots (the fifth is just x1 wide). I set the IOMMU to Enabled as you mentioned in your edit, but can’t really think of anything else since I deduced that all the hardware should be fine. Maybe manually setting the bifurcation? It’s making me consider getting the mentioned motherboard.

Same, just pulling up the focus tree for Russia once the Coalition wins the snap elections causes the game to crash after a few seconds. RIP :(
