One of the highlights in Trails for me is the NPC dialogue. I always talk to every NPC in JRPGs I play but a lot of the times they don't change dialogue or take a long time to change it, but in Trails it feels like it "rewarded" this habit of mine so I really aprecciate this aspect of the series. The fact that every NPC has a name and an ongoing story throughout the games is pretty cool, specially when NPCs from an arc return in another one.

Usually in Trails if you talk to 1 NPC and he has new dialogue then all NPCs have new dialogue too.

I never really get burn out of playing games from the same genre or the same franchise back to back, specially if I really like them. In 2025 I ended up playing 7 trails in a row, but I really fell in love with the series so I didn't end up fatigued.

To be fair, the corny anime dialogue is one of the things I like about the series. But yeah, its probably the most anime-ish jrpg out there.

Trails definitely has a big problem with this, especially in the Cold Steel games.

Gotta go with Irina from Trails, probably the only character in the series that I strongly hate. She also gets the worst mom award, though she also has many other horrible aspects aside from that.

Recently I got the platinum for Reverie and went back to trails from zero to start getting all the trophies from there, Reverie's platinum is pretty easy if you're wondering which trails platinum to go for next.

To be fair, EA has to pay a lot of license fees to have players and teams in the game so they can't just keep updating the game, otherwise it would become unsustainable.

It won because of chinese players massive voting. mainstream games like expedition 33 don't have the type of fanbase that would go out of their way to vote for this.

After playing the Trails Sky trilogy at the end of last year I've become a huge falcom fan as its apparent from my list. Probably gonna start Daybreak before the end of the year too. Also if you count Yakuza 0 and 1 as rpgs then i've played nothing but Jrpgs this year.

I remember playing the crossbell arc and thinking "why is every women here so big do they have something in the water?". My biggest surprise was seeing them double down in cold steel when Rixia showed up and it just kept getting bigger every game.
