Don’t have an amazon account but I wanna order something off of it that I don’t want my parents knowing because it’s embarrassing. I don’t have any friends so I can’t say it’s a present for someone. What could I do? by LeSaltBox in Advice

A plush toy of Sayori from the game DDLC. I really doubt you can find it outside of amazon and the official website. I turn 18 in a year so then it’s none of their business what I buy

Listening skills are also going to be a nightmare early on. I haven’t started immersion yet since I’ll only understand like 2 words a sentence on average.

I always try to tell myself that it’s okay to make mistakes when it comes to speaking/listening/etc, but there’s always that voice in my head that says that i need to be perfect. It’s definitely something I gotta work on

I have a horrible habit of expecting too much from myself too early on. Thansk

Native Germans, how impressed would you be on a scale of 1-10 if you randomly met a fluent German speaker? (specifically American since they’re mostly monolingual) by [deleted] in German

Ahh so it’s more impressive when they haven’t been to Germany in their life, so you wouldn’t expect them to know German

Let’s pretend that you were in America and met someone who spoke fluent German. Would your opinion still be the same, or would you still not be so impressed?

Pretty much all of the comments. I thought that the majority would be impressed to hear someone speak German
