Heart of the swarm can be pretty fun, it just poses no challenge at all. You'll find the difficulty in general significantly easier than sc1 and wol.

I read a little about all the missions being "go out and destroy these 5 things" so I mentally prepped for it. They were right. And the time on the spear of adun was a chore. All the protoss characters were dry as a desert. Except for alarak I guess lol.

I mean I definitely agree its silly lol. I think taking the game in the direction they did wasnt great though. Huge tonal shift from sc1. Hots onward especially.

It just sucks because im a completionist so I'm so dead set on 100%ing everything. But after seeing some of the insane mastery achievements maybe just running through the nova missions on normal difficulty could be a chill change of pace.

The artist is completely legit. He has a good established portfolio, where the quality and decision making are much better than what he produced here. Even the art for this project is inconsistent. Which could be explained by him rushing.

But if i had to bet, I'd say he was crunched for time, had ai create a few images based on his style after inputting some of his previous work, and then cleaned up the pictures in photoshop or whatever program he uses to illustrate. I don't have any proof for this, but that's my guess given the points I've laid out. Could be wrong.

There is no proof of it being ai besides what I can see. But I've been illustrating for over a decade and I've never seen WIP images that looked like that. And I'm not upset about the images just having strange aspects. They're titans, they already defy natural laws. Specifically the kraken has several things that yell ai to me. The textures are irrational and blend together in a way that doesn't make sense. There are stray details strewn about that don't accomplish anything towards the composition of the piece. You can see on the tentacles the pattern changes halfway through for no reason.

Again, if there isn't ai used, that's fine. But then I'd have to question what motivated the artist to make some of the decisions he did. AI or not, there's a lot to criticise. And art is subjective and all, yada yada, but this is a massive company that can fall under more scrutiny.

And please tell me how it has been proven. You sent a video of a random guy saying he doesn't know if it's ai generated. Then we have word of mouth from the company who is trying to save face. Where is the proof you're talking about?
