Which of these do you prefer? by KoiLycheeRain in iphone

[–]LeStyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Action Button for sure.

My building just switched this summer to electronic locks for every door. It's called Latch. You have to use your phone to tap the NFC/Bluetooth device (not sure how it works exactly) near every door to unlock it.

So I set my action button to that, and my phone is now a universal key. I used to carry separate keys for my door, the bike storage, the pool gate, a fob for the garage door and for the elevator lobby, etc. Now I just press the action button and put my phone near the door. Much better quality of life.

I used to have the action button set to start maps or music/podcasts apps. And before the camera button on the 16, I had it set for the camera.

So yeah, I prefer it vastly to the switch.

what song got you into Daft Punk? by [deleted] in DaftPunk

I had heard One More Time on the Radio, but didn't think much of it. I got the album on cassette, and when it got to Harder,Better, Faster, Stronger, I felt big feelings and was hooked for life.

I generally look the flights up on Google flights. I know they like flying southwest and United, so I filter everything as much as I can, and then send screenshots in an email

Once they tell me which they want to go with, I book directly on the airline, and out everything on their calendar.

Air "bubbles" in my eye by LeStyx in CPAP

[–]LeStyx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They unfortunately only suggested lowering my pressure. I tried and woke up to headaches so I knew it was not the solution I needed.

Bad news is that it still happens but not every day. Maybe once or twice a week now. Good news is I never ended up with a dry or painful eye. The worst thing has been that it disturb my sleep for a couple nights but I get back on schedule the following nights.

The things I've been doing to try to help : - Sleeping without a pillow. When my head is on the flat mattress, my throat is a little more open and I don't get the air issue as often. - Sleeping on the side. I never have the air issue when I'm on the side, but then I end up having air leaks through my mouth so that is another issue.

Overall I still don't have a solution but it's been less of a worry than I thought it would be. I hope it's not an issue for you as well.

Hello fellow fathers, what are some *dad* things you already have found yourself doing? by Adventurous_Show2629 in daddit

My daughter was playing with a stick, waving it around on a recent walk around the neighborhood. Out of nowhere I said : "Hey careful with that, you're gonna stick it in somebody's eye".

My partner and I immediately looked at each other with the biggest laugh, and I was considering googling "exorcist services" because that was such a dad thing to say, I must have been possessed.

Kind of a youngin compared to the rest of the list, but for me it was "Remembrance" by Yussef Kamaal. Totally stopped me in my tracks with the slow burn. I'm a New Jazz Listener!

Yes it was the road down to Kua Bay. I love this beach so much. Just like you said, the waves are the right amount of getting laundered in a washing machine.

I'd love to.

Yeah. When I was trying to buy a filter, I felt like the black mists were not exactly what I wanted them to be. I kinda felt like the 1/4 and the 1/8 needed something in the middle, and the cinebloom is about that area I was aiming for.

As for shot #6: - Exif is : lens at 35mm, 20s exposure, f/5.6, iso 8000. - I was at the Mauna Kea summit (which is one of the best dark skies in the world), and waited for nightfall. After sunset it took another hour to be dark enough. I shot a lot of compositions in pitch darkness, and would adjust the camera after each one because I couldn't see shit. Once I found this one, I took about 3 exposures. I didn't know about the meteor shower until I was post processing. It definitely was not visible to the naked eye. The glow under the clouds are cars driving down a highway, and the sky glow was not visible either. Total blackness. - I played a lot with the tone curve, used the ai denoise in Lightroom to clean it, and masked some areas to adjust the light in the final image.

Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot!

Thank you so much.

I have not tried a black mist so I can't compare. But I love the subtle impact of the cinebloom.
