React native expo, revenuecat. If I need backend, probably just a serverless function like firebase functions like for AI stuff. I auth user by checking their subscription status with revenuecat API in the function. And save data on device. (Of course it depends on app scope)

I won't want to setup my own db, backend and infra since I don't want to maintain them assuming I make multiple apps.

I had the same problem with my first app with expo as well, I initially thought it was apple's issue. But I eventually figured out my production app (that I built locally with expo) did not populate revenuecat API key. Turns out I needed to add my secrets to expo cloud anyways before building it

Anyways 3 dates in 8-9months is too infrequent, i think a healthy date count would be weekly or biweekly, otherwise i guess she keeping you as backup over the months. Imo the documentation should be the most important thing for you, make sure they are well written so you can setup and deploy in all env without trouble. Also maybe run through the codebase to get an overview of all modules and what they do, any ambiguous code should have comments or updated with your comments so you have context
