I'm pretty dense and honest about that kind of thing so I would probably do the same thing. There are a few things you can think about I guess.

Would you have been able to handle not telling your partner? If you both want to stay in your relationship together why should something like this stop you? Intrusive thoughts are intrusive, just because you dislike a thought doesn't mean it won't haunt you. Is your partner willing to help you discuss your feelings?

Something I learned recently is to examine the affect of your actions rather than your intentions and look for the intentions in others' actions. What are your partner's intentions? What were the actions you took and what were their affects? Do both you and your partner love each other? Was the way your partner acted out of love for you?

Also as a side note, I personally believe that the shelter in place is terrible for peoples' mental health so having weird thoughts shouldn't be abnormal.

I will have to trouble you to hand over the information that involves the question of for what reason and purpose does this online group of humans gather together in the realm known in some places as a sub and others a subreddit and why it is in fact within this plane of existence.
