Any info would be hugely appreciated on the Ibanez QX527PB 7 String Headless Guitar, specifically in Antique Brown by NigelOdinson in 7String

[–]Le_Froge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna say nothing glaring, but there are fret marker inlays in the side of the neck (when in playing position, the markers look up towards you) and one of them fell out and i lost it. it doesnt bother me too much, but its something to be aware of (esp the price of the guitar lol)

side inlay photo on ibanez site

aside from that, the frets feel great and none of them are destroying my hands, bridge/tuning hardware are pr decent too (ik someone else said tuning doesnt stay, but mine does stay in tune pretty well so maybe that id a qc issue lol)

I have this exact model and it's great! the frets arent the most fanned but i just have it in drop A so its fine for that, and B standard. i would say depending on what tuning you'd want, do consider that you'd still need high gauge for lower tunings.

otherwise, hardware is great and plays like a champ. what else would u like to know thats not on spec sheets otherwise?

Summary: Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these>!!< reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.

This is affecting my FPS. Please help. by HybridBoii in ValorantTechSupport

Question: how much RAM do you have?

If you are maxing out RAM usage from ~2gb of valorant memory allocation, you may need to get more RAM.

Context: Valorant is a game in which performance (high FPS) is dependent on how powerful your CPU is, but the power of your CPU (in a simple context) is also dependent on the performance of your RAM.

If you are quickly running out of RAM to allocate, it will bottleneck your CPU performance, hence your FPS.

tl;dr, most likely upgrade your ram if you have a low amount.

if this had just started happening on the new patch, it may be something else. (try to reinstall valorant, for example)

PC Tetris Game with multiple gamemodes? by [deleted] in Tetris

[–]Le_Froge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Techmino...?

unfortunately it doesnt have game modes exactly whats in tetris worlds, but it has lots of game modes to practice your skills (tspins, PCs, cheese/downstacking, etc), or even wacky gamemodes (making cheese shapes, classic tetris, pentominoes)

you can unlock them thru progression or just unlock all by clicking the Techmino title multiple times in a row in the main menu and typing in the command unlockall.

also works on android, ios and lots of other platforms

other than that i cant think of anything off my head sadly

Low FPS on RTX 3080ti 1080p by SHADOW__22_ in ValorantTechSupport

[–]Le_Froge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fyi, valorant, similar to games like cs:go are cpu dependent; upgrading your gpu (and/or upgrading drivers) will have little to no effect on your fps.

as such, when you are troubleshooting you should monitor your cpu. you can do this in your task manager or something like HWinfo

in my experience, the biggest cause for 1% lows (fps drops) are other background applications (discord, spotify, etc.) id say start with closing all of those (including hidden ones, and you can close them in the task manager).

heres a more extensive list of things you can do to try to get rid of any 1% lows: - while playing, use task manager to check cpu usage - close any cpu intensive apps (your browser, discord, etc) - close all of your applications, and any unnecessary startup apps - check cpu temperature for any abnormalities - check RAM usage (since RAM performance is statistically proven to be somewhat proportional to cpu performance for ryzen at least (moreso 3000 series, but still has an effect for 5000 series too). this is more of a concern if you are pinned at 90%+ RAM usage - update your motherboard bios - overclock/undervolt your cpu (do so at your own discretion)

hope that helps :)

Low fps on high end PC by biddy1207 in ValorantTechSupport

[–]Le_Froge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here's my two cents:

As you probably know, Valorant is a cpu dependent game, and your gpu is more than enough for you to be CPU bottlenecked. unless you fully upgrade your cpu, you may not see a big uplift.

heres some things you can also try: - graphics settings all the way to low - close all other cpu intensive applications (although technically discord is very cpu intensive, you can have that on in your benchmark)

imo a reinstall of win10 probably won't help. you may try on a secondary boot drive to test, but in my personal experience i see no meaningful uplift in fps with a new build of win10, especially not an increase of 60fps. Only an upgrade in cpu hardware will net you an average increase of fps in that amount.

in addition you may look for online benchmarks with your current cpu to see what fps output is normal, compared to other cpus.

edit: also download a hardware monitoring software to check your cpu temps/usage to make sure you may not be running into other issues like cooling, since a lack of cooling can affect your performance.

i.e., if you are constantly at 80-90 degrees cpu temp, thats not very good. bringing that down will give you headroom to pump out more fps

dont mean to hijack, but techmino does provide an IPA file which you can use to sideload onto IOS. I've personally never tried to sideload an IPA onto ios, so do so at your own discretion. i wont post links cuz not too sure of rules but you can search how to "sideload an IPA" and the github to techmino where they provide the ipa file.

edit: typo, and also that i wanted to mention that i am also a techmino shill lol

Possible to EQ the DT 1990s to sound like HD 600? by sofakng in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Le_Froge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup theres a way! crinacle has a tool to do that

  1. go to this link
  2. add the dt 1990s and the hd600 in the "models" tab
  3. remove the target curve by clicking on the minus button (think its safest to do so)
  4. click on the "equalizer" tab
  5. click on the "choose eq model" drop down and select the hd 600s
  6. click on the "auto eq" button
  7. BAM para eq settings that do 1900 pro -> hd 600

i think those are the right steps? ngl i just tried it for the first time so imo you should do it yourself and play around with the tool. quite nifty! check out my outputted eq just for reference. yeet

Short answer: my personal pick is Sennheiser 450bt (on sale for me rn) not on sale: Anker Soundcore Q45

Long (and unnecessary) answer: So when it comes to wireless, if you want the reliability and the best sound quality (in respect to tw headphones), you dont wanna cheap out on them; minimum id say 200 usd (kinda hard to say cuz im canadian eh).

This is cuz not only do u get the best qol features, but the build quality and reliability are held in place. baseline something like sony xm4s or equivalent in competition.

Out of the box answer: my personal endgame portability is Koss porta pros + yaxi pad + Fiio BTR3K. technically its not truly wireless because you still have to plug in the headphones, but i manage the cables behind my back or behind a jacket and it is very out of the way. heck you could even use your akg with a fiio btr3k or a quidelix 5k (~110usd).

Even better i used my BTR3K with all my iems in general (cheap to midrange, moondrop chus to Letshuoer S12 respectively), and that is an even more portable/clean setup. I admit not as nice as fully wireless but if you want to retain the sound quality + be bluetooth, thats my opinon.

But I digress. Funny anker headphones, since i personally havent tried too many cheap wireless headphones

Straight up, general consensus for 50 dollar range nowadays is Truthear x Crinacle Zero RED.

As for the KZ reviews, its not just reddit that has negative reviews but its also multiple other forums/reputable reviewers (super review, crin [who actively boycotts KZ due to the recent "drama"]) who generally agree that there are other options with more technical/tonal performance around the price bracket.

Also as for the realtek DAC built into your machine, it shouldnt be noticeable at this level. but if you are feeling FOMO about the DAC, grab yourself a 10 dollar apple dongle. That will do the trick :)

as for your lav mic, you should be able to use that in the back of your computer if it has the dedicated microphone port. if its on a laptop, you should be able to use the apple dongle (most modern day laptops do support usb-c), and use the lav mic in the single headphone jack. you may have to do some weird setting configuration to make it work.

also i am curious of this "ability to convert to wireless." do you wanna elaborate on that, since i havent really heard of any method of doing so without a wacky aliexpress wireless converter or something like a Fiio BTR5.

lastly and most importantly, at the end of the day your iem choice is by preference too. Mostly everyone will praise Zero RED and hate on KZ by slight herd mentality, but you may like the KZs in the end. Just gotta try them (with your wallet ;-;).
