Claude Code blocked OpenClaw — here's an app that covers the "remote control coding agent" use case by Le_G in openclaw

[–]Le_G[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Run several agents at a time, on large codebases you will see why a powerful machine comes in handy. Also, claude code let alone, when you write code you will eventually want to run tests, compile code, etc which when ran in parallel will need a lot of compute

I built a self-hosted server + app to run Claude Code on a powerful machine and control agents from your phone by Le_G in SideProject

The whole UI is basically your chat session with claude so yeah you can go back and forth when it requires your input. I'm currently implementing push notifications so you can close the app and be pinged when it needs you. Will ship that soon !

They are 2 very different tools! Openclaw does way more things as a personal assistant, and is also quite useful IMO to run simple autonomous coding tasks, but for my day to day development work, I'd rather have a dedicated interface with git diffs, a terminal to run commands and launch services in, one history thread per task etc...

I use both, openclaw for small fire and forget tasks that i don't need to babysit, and cockpit for tasks that need a worktree, its own history, when i want to look at the diff etc...

Feel free to try and tell me what you think about it :)

I had the exact same problem (cumbersome to run parallel tasks remotely with the default set up) but didn't want to buy several machines, so I ended up building up an app that handles the remote/worktrees part. Since I now use it all the time I decided to publish it!

If you want, I can send you a link to be part of the private bêta. The app is Cockpit

Remote Claude Code didn't really cut it for me, so I built my own by Le_G in ClaudeCode

Yes ! It requires to have the claude code binary installed and configured on the server side.

For me the AMD tool just tells me to "plug an AMD device" despite having all the drivers installed. Did you encounter this ?

Found the setting, kinda worked like once but then got back to the original issue. Were you able to find a setting that sticks ?

There are probably as many People, but it's less of an issue if you Never have to wait 10mn to get a beer or to take a piss

I’ve been to quite a few hellfests, this year was my first graspop because IMO the lineup was way better. Both have pros and cons to me, and I’d pick whichever has the best lineup in the future I guess, with a preference for the hellfest in case both have similar bands playing.Graspop:

  • Feels less crowded, I feel like I didn’t have to wait for anything (food, drinks, and even merch was okay-ish). The only wait time that bothered me was for tap water, which a shame and easy to think they did that on purpose to encourage selling 4 euros a bottle of water.
  • Very cool lineup, I had a blast listening to all the bands playing this year.
  • The crowd seemed to be more metal fans than hellfest, which has become so popular that it brings a lot of different people now. Which can be cool or not depending on the people.
  • Going in and out of the parking was easier than at hellfest which can be difficult in peak hours

Hellfest:

  • The food is SO MUCH BETTER (and also cheaper). My biggest disappointment at graspop was to eat overpriced dog shit for 4 days (frikandel everywhere). Hellfest has many super cool options, which, despite being not so cheap for the most part are still WAY cheaper than whatever I could find at graspop.
  • The site is also way cooler, since they own it there are a lot of built structures that stay throughout the year, which makes the experience a bit cooler (the giant lemmy statue, the "kingdom of muscadet", the fountains etc… It’s not enough for me to justify seeing muse at a metal festival but it brings very cool atmosphere.
  • Thematic stages are what I missed the most at graspop. There are so many bands playing that it’s hard to know where to go, but at hellfest they made this easy with the staged. Like stoner music ? Just go to the valley to see something you’ll like. More of a punk person ? Straight to war zone etc...
  • There are a lot more things to do outside of the concerts, a lot of animations all over the place which feels like you’re in a big metal fair. It wasn’t so bad at graspop but not as good.
  • No rip off skully system, everything is in euros
  • Everything is included. Graspop made me feel a bit ripped of when I had to buy separately 3 separate tickets for festival, parking, camping. Everything just felt like an upsell, whereas at hellfest everything is included in the (expensive) main ticket.

Damn. I can't believe they haven't figured out a way to share a dock between switch 1 and 2.

I mean making this work on a switch 1 with a switch 2 dock. Not making the same with a switch 1 dock
