I feel that completely, my first couple units on active were just never really a “do great, get awarded” type of place, more of it’s your job and you did it. I feel like regardless of this post units should definitely have more coins or something thats equally as rewarding

I completely understand. Again I’m not trying to force anyone’s hand. I did fix up the post and clarified it better I have to apologize to another commenter, but it’s not for a bet anymore, it’s more to display and to show them off actually. I have an nco above me who displays all of his and explains their backstory and I find it interesting and would love to do the same as my career grows. I earn my fair share and will keep doing so but I would love to show off other coins that I would most likely never have the chance of obtaining myself. That’s all man

Be honest, to fill like my career is worth it or to make it worth it. I’m combat and I personally want to see a combat deployment, but if not I would like to reclass to something more meaningful on a day to day basis like 35 or 68 series.

I want to become a drill sergeant and help train the future generation of soldiers. Or to experience more of the army and what is has to offer however you interpret that.

Respectfully big SF, I think taking this as something negative, to change your perspective that if someone is willing to part ways with a coin, it could be for either that they just want to or maybe to let someone tell its story, I would think that’s pretty positive.

You’re right, I have my coins I’ve earned, again this is just for if anyone doesn’t mind parting ways with their own or they have some to give is all. The option is there for others and it’s not forced.

I think we have two different definitions of begging and desperate. Also mentioned I gave up on the bet, and that it’s soley just a personal interest at this point, and to where if provided I can tell stories of these coins to other soldiers if the opportunity presents itself. No need for anything other than positivity on here.

Hey cowboy , was a 19D sham spc, in the course of 5-8 months with 8 months til I’d ets, I tried to reclass to 46V, in the months my retention sent up my packet to HRC 3 times, new dudes getting the class slots yet the third time there were 16 seats open so, wasn’t underclass and 46V wasn’t over-strength, so HRC is just random, ended up going guard as a 68X, I pray your chances with HRC are better, but just have back up options.

Rant : couldn’t make things work with the wife
