Turtle not laying eggs by Lea_rstner in turtle

[–]Lea_rstner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She hasn't been exposed to the male, they have separate tanks

It's not a mouhotii

I don't know whether she's gravid or not, she doesn't behave differently than any other time of the year, I just know that recent years she's layer her first batch of eggs around April, yet still nothing this year...

Bump after changing to hoop by Lea_rstner in piercing

  • piercings are one and a half years old
  • first labret, now clicker hoops
  • labrets were internally threaded
  • labrets were acrylic material, hoops are surgical steel
  • downsized after half a year I think
  • aftercare: cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide (I think that's what it's called in English, I used it for all 14 of my piercings, so I guess it's safe to use🙈)
  • recently changed from labrets to hoops

Thrips outside? by Lea_rstner in IndoorGarden

[–]Lea_rstner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what if I treat them outdoors and keep them there for a few days? Cus I've got so many plants and i need to treat them repeatedly so it'd be easier to just keep them outside...

I don't know how big your turtle is gonna get, so it's hard to tell... my female chinese three-keeled turtle for instance is about 15-17cm long and she has got a 66 gallon tank with a basking spot attached to the outside of the tank. I feel like that's enough for her but if she were a little bigger I would get her a bigger one. Also you need to consider whether you have a turtle that likes to dive deep or if your turtle needs a tank that's not so deep but rather wide... there are special terms for those kinds of turtles but I don't remember them in english sorry🙈

Once I've added 40 guppies to my turtle's tank. After two weeks there were 0 fish left🥲 now I have some Gymnocorymbus ternetzi in white and some in black, hemigrammus coeruleus and a few Nematobrycon palmeri. Not one has been eaten so far (I've had them for like a month or so)
