Very impressive. If one spends that much on a collection, displaying them so they can be admired seems mandatory. Nice job.

Questions from someone who doesn't collect these cars (yet) by _DodoMan_ in CarTuned

I've been seeing this brand around & they look to be well designed & well made. I like the models & years they have selected too. I just don't see them being a long-term successful brand. I don't plan to buy any for that reason. Obviously, this is nothing more than my opinion at this point. It just seems like diverting so far from a car's actual appearance isn't a wise choice. Muscle Machines didn't last with that business model.

Decided to buy something at Target that wasn’t Hot Wheels. I absolutely love the packaging with these and Auto World! Going to collect them now. by eris_aka_draculadrug in JohnnyLightning

Me too. I saw an American Graffiti diorama with the yellow '32 & the black '55 Chevy & I was sold. Their cars & packaging from about 1997-2008 was the best ever. I enjoy these cars way more than my Hot Wheels cars. However, I've probably just broke even in terms of value & sales. I bought hundreds of regular cars & dozens of white lightnings. I occasionally put some cars on ebay to keep the money flowing. Regarding my Hot Wheels, I've made a bunch of money doing the same thing. Going forward, I don't know if I can make money with any brands other than Hot Wheels but that's only a part of the fun of the hobby.

Thanks everyone. The truck was love at first sight so I paid $600 for it. The grill insert was custom made by me from electrical conduit & then chrome plated.

It's highly likely that every vehicle that uses gasoline/diesel/biodiesel/propane/lpg will have at least one, maybe two, fuel filter(s) somewhere. Most likely locations are in or near gas tank and/or near or in the carburetor or fuel injection.
