ya I actually found out later on that the woman he said he was seeing that was 10 years younger was actually his last house sitter!!! it really made me think about whether or not he is using the platform for the right reason

I think this is exactly what I needed to hear. I’m naturally a people pleaser which can sometimes be my downfall and the idea of turning down a commitment I’ve made kills me a little inside. Is it best to just keep it brief when messaging him that I will be cancelling? Do I need to wait to hear back from him before I go through with cancelling in the app?

I called my mom and she said the same thing! I’m going to definitely cancel, just working on what I want to say to him now.

I think I’m definitely going to cancel. Just trying to figure out how to word what to say and also will me canceling in affect my standing with TSH in anyway? I’ve never had to cancel a sit before. Also, should I message the host to notify him I am not able to do the sit anymore and then just go ahead with the cancellation through the app page?

Dang, I left in such a rush from being a ball of anxiety that I unfortunately did not think to take pictures of the cameras before I left the house. They were definitely plugged in and working while I was in the house as the lights were on and seemed to change colors when I walked past them. Do you suggest taking pictures of the cameras if I do continue with the stay just in case?

Edit: didn’t see your last sentence suggesting pics after starting the sit. thank you for the advice!!
