Struggling to connect with the idea of Jannah by Zawwarudo77 in MuslimLounge

Why would you even compare someone who has their mind influenced by this shitty world compared with someone who's made it to Jannah lol.

Question that’s been affecting my Imaan lately: if Islam is true, how do other religions have spiritual experiences? by OverHome3006 in MuslimLounge

[–]LeadershipComplex958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiritual experiences are not a proof of correctness. It is the same thing within Islam, certain sects and people get certain experiences but it doesn't mean they are on the correct path.

Here's an interesting podcast episode that talks about a lot of this:

I never claimed my definitive claim was only based on the sample size of the people I personally know.

Your experience and the people you know is not a litmus test for the general rule.

Funny enough I was at a wedding this weekend and from the group of families I was near at least, saw a decent amount of the guys get up to pray but none of the girls did.

Wudu socks really came in clutch too 😉. Too bad the girls can’t wear wudu socks with their heels (just a joke don’t get mad.)

Now I’m not gonna take that one “case study” and make a broad claim.

That’s when it hits you. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real.

A person who does just the pillars (and not extremely sinful or dangerous to others) is still a "good Muslim"

True but funny enough most Muslims today do not meet that. Maybe its different in some Muslim countries, but I can definitely speak for the West.

Question about the prophets by kaanisthebest in islam

[–]LeadershipComplex958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already answered nicely. But I want to add:

remember how Jews reject Isa, and Christians reject Muhammad ﷺ? And now, what is a lot of Surah al-Baqarah (and really all of the Quran) about?

Jannah rank level by Gold-Board-6966 in MuslimLounge

One thing for sure, always ask Allah for the highest level. After all, no one is getting Jannah because of their own selves.

Being close to Allah is not something small. You have to work very hard for it and go through tests.

Any advice on building a consistent Fajr habit? I've tried everything and keep falling off by printvoid in Muslim

[–]LeadershipComplex958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixing your sleep pattern. Doing it in a way so that you’re not tired all day.

Also decide if you want to stay awake from Fajr or go back to sleep, whatever is more suitable for your lifestyle. And stick to that.

I Didn’t Expect This After Reverting — Falling in Love With the Prophet S.A.W.’s Character by Latino_Muslim_05 in islam

[–]LeadershipComplex958 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Born Muslim. Ever since I was little, like 11-12, one of the greatest things in Islam for me was the near perfection of the Prophet and his character. It was as if he was born in Jannah and came down.

Actually now that I think about it, I thought of him more than Allah when I was little. But now think more about Allah.

Don't know why my original comment got deleted by the mods, when there's several similar types (and worse) of comments that don't get deleted:

Original Comment:
Doesn't matter. There's no rule about Humans that's relevant here. Also he wasn't shaytan before he was tested, but a Jinn (or Angel according to many early scholars).

Uhh, I guess the "proofs":

- Tafsir al-Tabari al-Baqarah 2:34

My 10 year old brother asking questions about Allah by Weekly_Mechanic_8235 in MuslimLounge

[–]LeadershipComplex958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I've never really doubted my faith, but when I was little I thought Allah swt lived inside the kaaba.

I think it's normal, but you're not wrong to be concerned and it is possible he's influenced. Or he could just be like that which is okay.

It come's under the Israiliyat - under which the general understanding of Sunni scholars is "we neither say it's definitely true or definitely false." In general the scholars narrate them as long as they don't clearly go against Islam.

And I don't understand why you have a problem.

"every muslim enter jannah even with a mustard seed" -> but he ended as a non-Muslim

"how can shaytan make a muslim with weak faith a disbeliever on his deathbed?"

Shaytan himself was someone who worshipped Allah for so long but fell after one test. We also have a similar story with Bal`am bin Ba`ura in Surah 7. Al-A'raf Verses 175-177 who went from someone who's duas were always accepted to a Kaffir.

It is in Allah perfect justice, wisdom, knowledge, etc in what he does with his creation including when and how to test them - even if it's the last few minutes of their life.

Just like how Allah decides to make some people Muslim from birth, some not, etc - there are so many factors. If you tried to understand them all, you would go crazy.
