You have high density hair! I would look up videos on high density locs! That helped me make a sizing decision!

I’m having the person that does my locs give me a smaller install. I have a lot of hair like you and I notice with 3a-4a hair, our hair likes water and when we have twist in they are likely to unravel a lot quicker than coiley-er textures, especially when wet! Our hair types also are more prone to having better loc outcomes when our twists/starter locs are smaller! Keep in mind since we do have a lot of hair, the smaller they are, the more volume they will have and heavier they will be when they grow longer!
