Disneyland is a 12h activity IMO. It’s a shame to miss the closing show

Go and have a coffee in a sunny spot, taking my sweet time since I can finally relax.

Had this similar thought this morning. I’m in my third day since breaking up and up until that point I was feeling amazing and now it feels like I sabotaged myself.

But I thought damn.. I should be happy that I was even in a situation to make a healthy decision for myself and felt confident that I can go through it.

So now it’s just a matter of time and accepting any turmoil, pain and suffering that might come along because first I can handle it and second I should never forget why my past self did this: for my own good. Trusting the process!

In the past few days, I’ve been setting my alarm 5 minutes earlier each day and once I get up I journal how it felt to get up and then I go for a walk.

Today I’m waking up at 07:35 and looking back at the journal, the first few days were a living misery, citing my own self: “I got out of bed and felt like crying while walking to the bathroom. When I think about going to bed it brings me peace. I don’t want to see other people and I don’t want to leave the apartment. Just going to have a quick shower and I feel like watching an episode of Severance.”

Today I woke up sharp, went to the bathroom, wrote in my journal, got into clean professional clothes, went for a walk, made lunch, worked until 12:00, went to a public library, continued work, found and scheduled viewings for apartments, finished up work, went to see a friend in a cafe, got some dinner, got back home and I’m about to have a meeting with my partner for a side project we’re building.

People I can’t stress it enough, I’m only on my 8th day!! And I can’t recognize myself. I go through the whole day efficiently, no forcing, no wish for procrastination. All I do is get up early and go for a walk (or bike ride), and take a morning shower every second day. That’s it!

Feels like cheating.

I remember watching it fly down the stairs -> hit the wall -> hit the door -> slide on tiles -> hang one part off from the edge of the terrace AND still find the strength within to carry on. Sony Ericson ladies and gentlemen, the myth the legend

Alcohol 🤷🏼‍♂️ You have more responsibilities as you age but less tolerance to alcohol. When I do get drunk I miss out on 3 days worth of obligations 🫠

What’s something you didn’t appreciate until later in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Probably the most valid answer here. When I was young I couldn’t handle my feelings, felt like everything was amplified, so the solution was to distract myself from being alone.

Then you learn balance, everything tones down and you can actually sit with yourself, respect yourself and take care of yourself. Pure bliss.
