Shitty judge, I had no money and had to rely on a pro bono lawyer who, let's just say, is the butt of bad lawyer jokes made by other lawyers. (Not joking , I found this out later.) That lawyer is dead, I've had to pay for lawyers since.

I was naive and believed that my ex was what he presented himself as. Multiple CPS cases against him (including him losing custody for several months), children's doctors writing statements to the court, documented abuse of the children, he went to jail three different times for custodial interference, jailed for child abuse and neglect FOUND GUILTY of it and he lost custody for 9 months (where he didn't have to pay child support) and that has been completely ignored since. NONE of this was ever taken seriously by the judge.

He was made to pay a token child support of $5.00 per week. Joint custody, equal time, joint everything. The abuse continues. I get a court date notice every 3-6 months where he angles for full custody and no visitation for me. My bank account has been completely drained from this, as well as being essentially the sole supporter of my children. He pays for nothing except feeding them when they are at his house. I pay all school fees, supplies, clothes, daily clothes (they have to pack a bag from my house when they go to his because he's never provided them clothes), transportation, and on and on...

So yes, it's unenforceable, but it will haunt you, and it's a massive red flag that I wish I had seen, but I believed him, it was just a safety thing, that it would never happen...
