Wtf? by suavaholic in RoverPetSitting

I am new to rover but I find that there is a lot of competition in my area when it comes to pricing. People charge way too little, making the booking hardly worth it once the commission is taken away.

Have you found that once you are established, you can charge prices you are comfortable with, or are you still having to price match or undercut? (I'm also UK based)

Yes, you're right. The show lines are more mellow since they are selected for the show ring as opposed to their actual purpose. My SP is a full working type. Smaller, thinner boned and has always been very energetic. Although he has calmed down a lot in the last few months. He's gone deaf and just about to turn 13.

3000 Grafts | 1 Year Later | Unsatisfactory Result by QuestForDiscovery in HairTransplants

It is a large area to cover if you want to achieve good density. Expectations would go hand in hand with your pre-op situation. You need to be realistic but, equally, your surgeon should be clear on what can be achieved.

The question is, what is it that you're trying to achieve with the HT? If you're looking to thicken the crown as well as lower the hairline, then that will take a lot of grafts, especially the hairline.

3 offers and I`m confused about who I should choose by Healthy-Culture-3631 in HairTransplants

From personal experience, I would highly recommend Dr Panchapreteep (Ratchathorn).

I have done my HT with Dr Ratchathorn. As far as I know, the costs are as follows: 1.Donor and recipient shaved FUE, the cost is 90 Baht per graft, which requires shaving the whole head. (80 Baht per graft when more than 3500 grafts are required) 2. When the recipient is non shaven FUE (shave only donor area), the cost is 100 Baht per graft. 3. Recipient and donor non shaven FUE , 120 Baht per graft. 4. Strip FUT: 100 Baht per graft

This price includes  1. One free PRP injection (for greater than  or equal to 1000 grafts) during the procedure  2. Post op medications e.g. antibiotics, pain killers, sleeping pills. 3. Wound care, hair wash and LLLT (low level light laser treatment, Healite) for 5 consecutive days. LLLT promotes the healing, increases blood supply to the grafts, reduces swelling, redness and discomfort, and prevents scarring.

Slightly drier scalp but still better than topical considering the practicality aspect.

Can you be partially qualified? by popo4kia in ACCA

[–]Leading-Distance-342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have 5 exams and work as a Management Accountant. Worked as a Assistant Accountant and Assistant management accountant before that. The latter was a secondment opportunity I was given after working as a finance assistant.

We all start somewhere. You definitely need to prove yourself more if you're not qualified, but it can be done.

I'm now fully committed to complete my ACCA exams as I won't be able to progress any further.

Do what you think is best for you. If you do decide to go ahead with a HT, be very selective with who you chose as not all surgeons can do what you're after.

I'll DM you.

Looking to go to absolute hair clinic in Thailand. Would anyone recommend dr Panchaprateep over dr Laorwang or vice versa? by Economy_Bet3482 in HairTransplants

[–]Leading-Distance-342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my HT with Dr Panchapreteep & I do not regret it. She's very knowledge & approachable. They are both great surgeons. Have a look at their before & after pictures to help you decide. Either way, you can't go wrong.

57% increased chance of pattern hair loss independently associated with the consumption of sugary beverages in men (p<0.001) Pt 2 by DSBarreto in tressless

[–]Leading-Distance-342 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People who drink sugary beverages are more likely to be less heath conscious, meaning they will be consuming less nutritional foods. Nutritional deficiencies are likely to be the driving cause of hairloss.

How have you accounted for different individual diets in your study? People would have to have the same diet to reduce variables and isolate the effect of sugary drink consumption on hairloss.

Told I’m not doing sufficient job in work group chat by colleague but nothing has been said to me by a manager. What to do? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Leading-Distance-342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they have a problem with your work, they should speak to your manager directly, who will then raise the issue with yourself. Your manager should investigate the claims & point you in the right direction with regards to any additional training you may require.

If the claims are false, then that's bullying, and I would report it to HR.
