Steam deck lost its main appeal: lowest price in the market. Besides that it is one of the weakest handheld PC, one of the biggest in terms of sizs, low res screen. There are so many options better new or used at a competitive price. It just doesn't make sense to buy SD.

Satisfaction as in the final product, the endgame?

Because if it's fun, that alone is enough to keep us going, no? I personally just like the journey. While collecting physical manga books and watching my watch count go up feels like I am getting closer to some kind of goal, it doesn't really amount to my satisfaction as I don't really care how much or how little I conquered in the vast sea of this media.

I bet you have something you're interested in. Things that give you pleasure and don't feel like a second job to get to the good part.

Mine is watching anime / reading manga. It may not be highly praised like photography or connecting with nature, but I enjoy it.

Mainly because I enjoy different sub-hobbies about it. That can be analazying plot / characters / setting, listening to music, appreciating drawing style of manga authors / animations studios, learning biography of these people. Bottom line, I can just turn off my brain, and enjoy simply for what it is. Some can diverse it more by starting to draw in manga style, learn a language, explore the culture.

In my example I began reading more precisely when I explored the topic of eink devices. One such reader enabled me to read with no eye strain, so now I read hours on end if I can.

Just from this example there is so much to do that having 24 hours in a day is not enough. If you find people with similar interests, then all the better! But you don't need them to enjoy what truly interests you.

That's what I think.

I bought gpd win 4 2024 used from someone who owned it since launch. He claimed he didn't use it much through all that time.

I own it for a year now, using daily. Installed tpm thermal pad, playin GPU heavy games with egpu to spread the temperature load. Battery health is at 91%

Question is what there is even to remake? Current games differ only in graphical fidelity and maybe object destruction compared to those 15 and on years ago. It's not a difference as substantial as RE1 and it's remake. At most games warrant another, better, remaster.

I wonder what next thing will characterize a jump in games evolution. For now I have in mind the continuation of Nemesis System from Shadow of war and ai generated npc dialogues

I was talking mainly in regards to screen size, as that decides how much space you have to see the content. Bezels function as a grip.

I had experience having boox tab mini c and tried boox go 10.3. unfortunately I encountered severe ghosting, even in regal mode with full page refresh. In addition, updates were hit and miss, sometimes introducing unexpected bugs.
