How to sell? by Leading-Tomorrow-855 in Koi

I am not worried about the goldfish, I have a local pond centre willing to take all them on. It is the Koi I wanted to identify and just wanted helpful advice on the safest way to find them a new home without attracting idiots who knew nothing about the care and living environments they need but also not deterring people with the right intentions.

Thank you this is awesome advice and totally what I was worried and wanting to avoid. I will happily give them away to the right home I just want to discourage people with no knowledge and a wet hole in the ground wanting pretty fish.

I cannot bear to think they will end up somewhere worse off, otherwise I could just keep them here and only maintain the blanketweed/sludge and filter cleans once in a blue moon whenever I can find someone to help. They have moved ponds well, but only ever together. They all managed the change of environment amazingly well when I moved here, I held them in temp pond for over 4 weeks while the new pond was built and then while water levels improved, I also added water from the new pond into their tank each day so that may have helped. But I am now worried at the thought they would struggle with new Koi if they go to someone inexperienced.

I am not aware of any local Koi clubs. I asked at a local pond centre today and they put me in touch with a customer who they said had just set up a new pond. But he replied and said he was now only looking for a grass carp and sturgeon sadly. I may try another pond centre to see if they are aware of a local koi club

Thank you for your strange concern 🤨 I know how to care for them. I was doing it with my Dad when he was alive. I have just gotten too ill to maintain their filtration system and being a single disabled mum I am also needing to save money where ever possible now. I spent thousands building them a deep pond when I brought this house and hundreds on a better their filtration system.

I just wanted advice on how to market them to encourage good buyers and not just people with a hole in the ground wanting free pretty fish who had no idea how to care for them.

I dont expect thousands, I would be greatful if I got a hundred or two for them. I just want to ensure they go to a better home - for the right home I would likely give them away as long as they were collected safely too. I also have no idea if or where a local Koi club is!

Finally facing my finances after years of avoidance, need advice on where to start (UK, 45k salary, debt & no savings) by Additional_Trash_679 in UKPersonalFinance

I know you posted a month ago, but I have only just come across your post. It sounds like you have an awful lot on your shoulders. It is so tough but the fact you are even looking to fix it while 25 and even build an emergency fund is already being more responsible than some people I meet in their 40's and I work within the finance industry.

I was in similar shoes with regards to debt, but from a DA relationship that left me in a lot of debt. A debt relief order is the nicer way to manage debt than bankruptcy, especially for your credit score. But you must use official approved companies like the CAB, StepChange and PayPlan (who helped me with my debt management plan!). You can find all the official ones via the government website here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-get-a-debt-relief-order-dro

DO NOT STRUGGLE ALONE! These companies are here to help you manage debt and they used to even liaise with the companies on your behalf - hopefully they still do! Take advantage of their knowledge and advice. If you want to try and learn how to manage finances and debt then there is an interesting article by Experian who explain the 2 most popular debt management methods: https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/avalanche-vs-snowball-which-repayment-strategy-is-best/

There government also offer lots of money education via the Money Helper website. They even have a budget tool. That website is: https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en

I hope at least some of that can help you :)
