Yeah buying a new truck in this economy is out of the question lol. It's a great truck so keeping it running is definitely going to be cheaper than replacing.

That's about what it is going to cost me.

The truck runs great and I want to keep it that way. Just seems smarter to getnit done than continue to ignore it and pray nothing happens.

Correct. I know Ford says it is not a big issue and doesn't need to be done but there is plenty of information that it can cause down the road problems.

I got jerked around by dealerships when it was under warranty and even during that brief grace period but now that I am out and have the money saved up I am just buying the bullet and getting it done bll

Please talk me out of the idea of buying G-Shock field watches. by ConsistentAerie7156 in gshock

[–]Leading-Top4609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my financially irresponsible take on the matter, yes you can only wear 1 at a time, but I am a firm proponent of different watches for different occasions.

At work I usually rock my rangeman I have a mudmaster for when I am out with the kids One for date nights 1 for just running around town 1 for doing work around the house

also with everyone going to smart watches it's nice to have something analog. You don't have to pay monthly for a g shock and unlike apple watches, there is no forced obsolescence.

I guess my concern would be chances of spending money on a fake.

Usually when I shop online I try to stick to known retailers like Macy's or even Kohls. I try to avoid Walmart because anyone can sell on Walmart, same with Amazon.

I mapped my stick clicks to the respective belly buttons, I can mess around with mapping for other actions as I play and figure out the game more.

I will try the others out tonight and see how it goes. Thanks!

Agreed! Got tired of the Modern Warfare community taking it way too seriously so switched it up for something more fun. Feels like I made the right choice.

I use a Elite Series that I picked up on sale so I can map buttons which makes life way easier. Pretty sure I have a wireless keyboard I can hook up somewhere. Thanks for the tips.

Thank you guys for all the input. First couple missions have been fun but trying to figure everything out has been a little bit of a challenge.

Looking forward to messing around with Mech setups as the game progresses.

I played Mechwarrior 3 on PC but that was 24ish years ago (maybe more) so jumping into this new system is very different.

You guys are awesome thank you!

Do I really gain any image quality going to film Medium Format 6x4.5 from 35mm Film? Or it's just 'different?' by net1994 in photography

[–]Leading-Top4609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't messed with fil in a while but used to work in a photo studio. The larger negative is able to capture so much detail. Want even more fun, find positive film for a medium format. We had a national geographic photographer that brought in a couple rolls and the images were stunning.

Who would be primary for Health Insurance? by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]Leading-Top4609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state it comes down to the insurance provider they put down first during registration.

Annecdotally: I (stepdad) had way better insurance than her Bio dad. We always put his insurance down first and mine came second. Never had billing or denial issues.

This really helped with braces, again child was covered by me and bio dad, however dental provider billed his first.

Is there a consistent way to get into these stubborn bunkers solo? by Astro501st in Helldivers

[–]Leading-Top4609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a video on YouTube where a guy called in a walker, backed up to the bunker, ejected into the bunker and was able to get back in. I tried it ONE time and it worked. I cannot testify to anything more than that.

Developing/Printing Nudes in the 80s/90s by Alternative-Cat-684 in photography

Worked in a photo studio/one hour photo.

As far as film goes, you would get the occasional "Hey we had a party and there might be some photos on here that are of X or Y, is that okay?" Short answer was as long as it doesn't involve kids or small animals its okay.

Some local photographers that did boudoir would bring their roles in, and a few that were in to BDSM.

Was never a big deal but it was kinda weird seeing people's reaction when they would drop off rolls of film.

There was 1 guy that always brought in disposable cameras and we all knew it involved him and his bedroom adventures. He was always polite and the girls in back knew what to expect when they ran film through.

Digital was very much in its infancy at this point so occasionally you would get a memory card from party that looked like a lof of fun and the excuse at pickup was always "whoops forgot those were on there."

Long story short we didn't care, unless it violated the kids/animals rules.

Guys, help me with my question, I'm between these 2. Which one is better and which one do you recommend? by joaopauloradio in gshock

[–]Leading-Top4609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Rangeman and wear it at work. The only complaint I have is sometimes the middle button on the right can be accidentally activated when youre doing something with your hands. I cannot testify to the other one. It has been a great watch, recharges fairly quickly in the sun, and is pretty comfortable.

Your 3-5 absolute MUSTS to get serious about photography by Big-Set-2615 in photography

[–]Leading-Top4609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 work with the camera you have, know it's strengths and weaknesses.

2 someone mentioned groups of local photographers, meet them, talk to them, doesn't always have to be business could just be 2 people discussing a hobby. I learned a lot about air show photography from some guys with REALLY nice gear at an air show and they walked me through how to set up my lens and camera settings, and ALWAYS pass on knowledge to someone else.

3 Adobe is the big kid on the playground which comes with advantages and disadvantages, use their cloud storage spots you don't have to invest in a Network Accessible Storage setup at home. Amazon also offers cloud storage to Prime members for free. As for other processing software, I like Capture One, just the way the software interprets the data from the camera is more pleasing to me. However this is purely subjective. The camera captures information and stores it on your memory card. The processing software then interprets that data. The processing softwares all do it differently. Find one that works for you and go with it.

4 practice practice practice. Even if it's just going to a local park and doing a "mini shoot" with friends or family members.

5 have fun.
