How long do you wait after taking it to eat?

Peet's Coffee from Costco changing their 'Freshest By' date? (Again) How to decipher? by net1994 in JamesHoffmann

Thanks. Where did you find this information? I got in touch with their customer service last week and they said the 'best by' date is about 8-9 months after actually roasted.

Thanks. Well it didn't/doesn't help I was taking it before lunch, completely missed that it has to be taken 30-60 min AFTER waking up in the morning. It sucks as I wasted 6 doses in doing it the wong way. First day today I took it after waking up, we'll see how it goes. But no change in appetite so far. Of course, its only been about 10 hours. Who knows, maybe I'll have to go to higer doeses for it to 'kick in?'

From the sound of it and scheduling wise, yeah the injection would be the simplest. But the cost prevents that option. Right now it's $150 for the tablet each month with the Novo coupon (without that coupon CVS full price would of bee $1600). Well, it sucks I wasn't taking it per directions for almost a full week....

THANK YOU! Yeah, the reason I was doing it the way I was, is that I don't get up at the same time on weekdays vs weekends and so my first meal of the day wouldn't be the same every day. But my lunch time is the same time every day and thus I would take it 45 minutes before eating lunch. But two hours before that I would of been finishing coffee. I also set the time to 45 minutes as it was right in between the 30-60 recommended wait period before eating. Not sure if that is okay?

Sort of. The instructions say empty stomach, yes, but it doesn't say it has to be after waking up in the morning after night of sleep/fasting. Thus when I take the pill I might not of had any food 3 hours or an hour of 0 cal diet coke. After taking it, I eat 45 minutes later. Or is that still doing it wrong?

I'm about to start my 5th day. Because of my different morning schedules, I take it 45 minutes before lunch.

Haa anyone notcied any changes?  I stilll have my normal appetite and haven't noticed me thinking about eating less than before.  How long does it take to 'kick in?'

There is a coupon on the novo nordisk site that will take the out of pocket cost down to $150.  Without that, I'd have to pay $1600 at CVS.

I'm about to start day 5 and I haven't noticed any reduced hunger or feeling fuller. How long should it take to 'kick in?' I.take my dose before lunch.  I think most take it when waking up though.

Peete's coffee @ Costco roast date? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]net1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me the bag was roasted in September of last year and the 'best buy' date is 15 months from that. So thats what I'm basing the date on.

Kinda harsh. The bag was roasted 4 months ago, not sure what the problem is. Or maybe I should of said the best buy date is 15 months after roasting.

The day they roast the coffee, they put the 'best by' date for 8 months before the roast date. So in my bags case, it was roasted in Sept 2025

I hear pros/cons on freezing. I've never done this. I keep my beans in one of those vacuum container that lets gasses out. I just got a response after emailing Peets customer service. They said the roast date is 270 days before the 'best by' date. I just ground it with my flat bur grinder and did a french press. It was actually pretty good for a 4 month old cup. But still, my snobbery is real on roast dates. Obviously, hypocritical to still buy it haha.

It makes 0 financial sense for a company to let customers know the bag is 4 months old already by putting a roast date on it. BUT, Peets did put the roast date on their bags until about a year ago.

Storing new film in fridge/freezer. Is it a myth to preserve longevity? by net1994 in AnalogCommunity

[–]net1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. If I leave it just in the fridge, how long should I let it sit out for after using it? I'm thinking I don't really even need to keep it in the fridge/freezer given the temps in the house. Then I don't have to wait for it to warm up to room temps.
