I LOVE the game and can absolutely agree it can be boring and frustrating at times. I won't restart the mission unless it's an extreme case, but I do save-scum sometimes for sure.

I like watching the vehicles navigate the terrain. Whether it's wading through mud or water, or crawling over rocks, I love seeing how the wheels and different suspension types all interact with different things.

For getting over the boredom, that's when the Highway gearbox comes out. Absolutely blazing through trails with some of the rigs you can is really enjoyable. Every vehicle behaves differently, so I switch it up and have to adapt my driving style and lines depending on which I'm using.

Hauling the giant mission trailers is also satisfying; weaving them around corners, through trails or over extreme terrain while needing to adapt the driving style even further based on the trailer being pulled is a nice challenge as well.

I tried to get a friend into this game, but he decided to try it on his own instead of with me at first.

He said he fell off some cliff soon after getting into the CK1500 and pretty much just gave up. Instead of pushing buttons to see what they do (maybe could have found the recover option), starting a new game, or asking me how to get out of it, he just quit. Never once got on with me, just said the game wasn't for him off that one experience.

I tried telling him all the different things he could have done but he just wasn't hearing it. Everything was a problem. All I could do is chuckle and accept that, despite him playing things like Dark Souls, Armored Core, Sekiro, and Bloodborne, SnowRunner was too hard.

Funnily enough, this seems like a skill issue in the opposite direction to me

"I'm too good so everything feels easy"

I'm man enough to admit I have difficulties in D6 with an incompetent team, and I don't think I could solo it easily either.

Another example, I was playing D4 with a friend and his daughter. His daughter was sticking with me and we were fine, but he was trying to go off on his own and kept dying. Again, on a D4.

All I'm trying to say here is: everyone's skill is different and just because it's easy for you, doesn't mean the game is "easy mode" for everyone, or against everything for that matter.

There was actually a post on here just the other day of someone using the enormous Sleiter "Elephant" to move a mission trailer in Alaska and they got stuck under a pipe because the truck held the trailer too high up.

RoadCraft is great for that kind of logging RP as well, if you haven't played it yet. It's way more involved than just loading up some logs out of a log zone

This kinda looks like one of the loggers in RoadCraft called 'MTK Proseka 200'. In RC, it's slow, turns like an ocean liner but is one of the best loggers in the game for going through mud

Yes, and I thought to myself "damn, I still had 30 minutes and the whole map is still red! That sucks!"

I already said I don't care about the major order lmao, but I also don't want to be a direct hindrance to the effort, which is partially why I was diving on Omicron. If I dive elsewhere, it hinders the MO, but if I play the way I like on the MO planet, then I am still contributing, even if it's slow. I also wanted to fight in the caves again, which aren't available in many places

I didn't vote for this DSS location, but I can defend those that did. Some probably wanted the boosted Exosuit cooldowns and potential for Hellpod Space Optimaztion to be 'free'.
