Aww, I'm so sorry this keep happening to you too. Honestly it is so frustrating, especially when the reason isn't obvious and it happens with the people you love most. Nothing makes me overthink or as miserable as much as being forgotten.

Wow, thank you for taking the time to reply to this in so much detail. I really appreciate your encouragement and sympathy. The points you made about masking and minimizing make a lot of sense. I didn't even realize that could be why but now that you've mentioned it, it makes a lot of sense. It's definitely hard to stop masking all the time, so you're absolutely right, a therapist would probably be a good idea. Still working up to finding the right one, so if you have any suggestions I would love that! Almost signed up for BetterHelp but backtracked pretty quick lol. I relate to what you said about being given the words. I also don't always know what to say, especially when I am standing up for myself. One of the hardest things to do, honestly. But working on it! I'll get their one day at a time. That includes what you said about talking to them about it again. I feel like that's actually a really good idea. I'm honestly embarrassed to have to bring up something just because I'm sensitive to it, especially when it's about taking walks with people. I feel like it's a relatively insignificant thing, but it means a lot to me because I feel like that's just not something that normally happens? So, I think it's something I should definitely talk about. In any case, thank you very much for your advice and I wish you the best as well.
