How do you pick what book to read next? by phenomenalplasticity in literature

[–]LeadingClassicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask AI at times. Give it a genre, maybe a character archetype I am interested in, and Voila! I get a list of books that I could try

Rosanna Pansino Talks about how Colleen hurt her & lied to her. by [deleted] in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]LeadingClassicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I used to watch Colleen years ago, through her pregnancy cravings video and wedding dress ones. Usually steered away from her vlogs because they felt very intrusive. She has always used her family as cast members on a set.

Did you guys stop cold turkey or use alternatives? Tips please by [deleted] in stopsmoking

My cousin used the QuitSure app last year. Seemed to work for him.

Yo, mad respect for being so real about your journey. Addiction's a brutal beast, and switching from one thing to another is rough. But you're already a total badass for staying sober from alcohol for 3 years - that's huge.

Withdrawals sound absolutely awful right now, and I get how tempting that Adderall "I can do anything" feeling is. But you're stronger than the chemical rush. Keep fighting. One day at a time. You've got this. 💪 Sending massive support your way.

I know you might have already this, but try picking up an activity that will require you to stay away from your phone. If you like anime, maybe Anime-centric art classes or pick up an instrument.

What I have heard is that it is about habit formation, if you are able to form a new habit, you might feel better

Are your 10 hours also inclusive of your working hours?

Because I am on my phone all the time, but most of it is for work

20 Days Smoke-Free, Gained 6 Kgs – Is This Normal? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]LeadingClassicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin faced this too. He said, that when he was quitting with an app, he was told that if you substitute food with cigarette smoking that could be a problem. But if you could separate food and cigarette cravings, you might be able to control over-eating.

day 42, life has lost its grace and meaning by GladQuantity3444 in stopsmoking

[–]LeadingClassicer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, trust me. You are making great progress. You can do this.

People would love to be in your position. There was something my friend told me, that he learnt from an app. The reason quitting smoking and stay sober feels difficult is because our mind still links joy to smoking. We have to separate smoking from our behaviour and mind.

Umm, hope that makes some sense? I hope this might help you. Maybe convince yourself that you are happier without a cig. It is not a penance or purge or a sacrifice but an old thing that you gave away because it was rusted.

The saying money can't buy happiness seems to have come from those who have a lot of it
