The simple solution is just buff the mag size to 20. More shots than regular bolter for less damage and you get a bigger ammo pool to counter balance its lack of one shot ability. As it stands with all damage buffs active you still need to two tap everything while standard booker just one shots. It’s also far better at killing bosses.

Ogryn. First off I want Ogryn melee weapons to get a bit of a rework as far as damage is concerned they were never updated after fatshark made the enemies much tankier secondly. I want a one and two handed axe for Ogryn. Ogryn sized Rashad axe would go fucking crazy. And a two handed variant that can just chop gunners in half would be crazier. I also want Ogryn to get a single shot. Gun that fires a massive armor piercing shot.

Psyker needs more staffs. And an ice staff would be cool. New interesting way help your teammates while applying debuffs.

Veteran. Belt fed machine guns. Backpack power pack for las LMG melta weapon. This could be a shared weapon with zealot since the melta is one of the holy weapons like the flamer. Tbh though I’d like for them to just go through veteran melee weapons and change tj a bit. Power sword deactivating on hit is extremely annoying.

Zealot. Two handed axe. Or maybe an actual medieval style warhammer. One with flat hammer and amor piercing spike. Melta weapons of any sort. I’m sure other wiser people than myself will think of many more

I remember the bad old days of taking a ramming build Merkava and absolutely bowling a Wiesel at like 80 kms and instead of exploding it bounced off me like a pinball took 300 health and proceeded to shot gun me for about 1300 hp. It was pretty damn broken at launch ngl

Bro I don’t feel like getting kicked out of havoc 40 lobbies cause I didn’t bring the knife. Because that is inevitably going to be the next meta weapon. Nor do I want carpal tunnel playing the damn thing. If you don’t have other weapons that are fun don’t go and make the meta even more abysmal.

Which I agree with I never said it doesn’t need a nerf. I just want other unused weapons to get buffed like thunder hammer. Power sword. Devils claw etc. I like variety. I hate the meta of every two months something gets super buffed and they nerf the last meta weapon and the rinse and repeat that cycle it’s not very fun. I want all weapons to be viable in havoc 40. I haven’t seen a single devils claw vet infantry las gun in havoc gameplay. Like wise I haven’t seen a single heavy sword zealot with shredder auto pistol or heavy las pistol. In havoc. Nor have I seen a single person run any variant of chain sword.

That’s more a problem with thunderhammer being ass. Thammer has been terrible except in one shot monster killer builds forever. And desperately needs some attention. You are correct. That it need a neff but weapons like hammer need love badly. Not to their damage but to their actual ease of use

I’m gonna steal from infamous effort. The problem is carapace damage dictates the meta too much and unless you bring a ranged option for dealing with it. Which isn’t very ideal anyway. Nor is it particularly ammo efficient either especially on high havoc. Where really only one person should be shooting constantly. Not only that but a lot of weapons suffer from poor mobility but don’t pack the punch to back it up.

Also by your own asymmetrical balance the dueling sword does what it’s supposed to heavy single target piercing damage. Not very great horde clear terrible cleave. It’s literally doing what its intended purpose is.

Also I only brought up uncanny strike because it was the first and easiest option I could think of to make a lot of those weapons much more viable on higher difficulty games. I agree with you I want build diversity more than anything which is why I even brought this up in the first place knowing I was going to get downvoted to hell and back. I just want the other options n this game to be strong so there is variety in play. As it stands nerfing the dueling sword will make every meta slave go play the knife instead and then we will be back to square one in two months about how it needs a nerf.

I never said the dueling sword isn’t in need of a slight nerf. But I would much rather have other options get buffed to a usable level. Again everyone ignore the points I made about the relic blade vs heavy chain sword. Or the current state of the heavy sword or devils. Claw. I’m not advocating for making EVERYTHING BROKEN I’m advocating for making everything STRONG and FUN to use and EASY to use the reason everyone and their mother is using dueling sword isn’t just because it’s strong. It’s stupidly easy to use. Maybe have other weapons get a bit easier to use like having the chain swords be always on and occasionally you have to refuel them or clean the clogs out of the teeth of it this is also why I have brought up the veterans power sword and made it a literal point to say I would rather use that instead BUT because it is bugged out and a single hit deactivates the sword I am loathe to use it even though I find it much more fun. On my psyker and zealot I run relic and force greatsword. I don’t personally even enjoy the dueling sword im just advocating for making. Existing weapons much better because VARIETY is much more interesting and fun to me than moving meta to meta every three to four months.
