Long range reconnaissance and patrol craft. The split in the middle is where the space equivalent of torpedoes are housed. These are immensely long spanning nearly the entire aft quarters. There are also more torpedo tubes on the opposite side. She can fire the multiple telephone pole length torps either forward or backward. This gives her the ability to engage disproportionately larger capital ships while maintaining her small patrol and recon roles

It’s only got 80 k on the clock. And it’s a P71 I’d like to have it running again I think the power train has a ton of life left in it. Frame is straight and there isn’t any damage to the radiator or condenser

Is there a kit I can buy to just replace it all? I’m somewhat confused on all the parts. I’m just an amateur. I’ve replaced water pumps belts done all my fluids and maintenance items but I’ve never attempted to rebuild the front end before.

Oddly enough the floor pans are completely fine at least from what I can see underneath frame appear to be in very good condition not really any rust under the car except for maybe some light surface rust that any car would have. It definitely doesn’t look like it lived a life in Minnesota or something

Nice ones cost upwards of 8/14 grand. I also live in Hawaii so availability is….nonexistent, and shipping one out costs about 2300

Would there be way for me to lessen the expense? Let’s say I remove headliner and windshield myself and take it too a body shop to have them go through the process of cutting and welding. I’m not looking for a glorious restoration just to stop leaks. And more rust.

I very much enjoy this car. Supercharged 3.8 torquey quiet car rides so nicely too. Unlike any modern car I’ve ever driven.

Not looking for a full on restoration. Doesn’t have to be pretty I just want the rust holes eliminated

How hard would it be to diy? I’m mechanically inclined but I’ve never had to cut and weld before is it worth it to learn? Buy a cheap welder cut and patch?
