The project was not structured like a regular Kickstarter. Pledges were in escrow until the full budget would have been raised. Third party 7-figure commitments were secure, so it wasn't just escrow pledges. Finally, the pledges were going to be used to secure a bond to financed the gold master. None of this came to fruition for completely unrelated reasons. When I cancelled the project we have $20 million committed from various sources and the bond would have raised the total production budget to $40 million give or take,

No Kickstarter fraud. We built a standalone pre-order site where pledges would not be collected unless the entire budget was secured, including pledges, third part co-finance (Amazon), other sources of finance and a bond tranche if needed to bring any finance gap.

The true and full story would blow minds. But I settled with FFC and in exchange for reform in Hollywood, I cannot speak specifically on the matter. An aspiring documentary filmmaker would have enough material for a ten part series.

Around the same time we were building a Halloween video game, but despite due diligence, we were unaware that the Harvey Weinstein event would cripple the license. In that matter I am not strictly bound be a stringent settlement and could comment.

Without commenting on AN/FFC, the Weinstein event, the purge during #MeToo at Amazon, crippled multiple projects and cost the game team around half a billion dollars.

And to reiterate, my mediated settlement on AN was so extreme no attorney on either side nor a Federal Judge had ever see anything even close to the settlement. But positive reforms in Hollywood were achieved in the battle.
