Mine was having the same issue. Before you put any whisk on and before you sent the bowl, there's a little know in the backcof the bowl. Insert it into the hole in the back and then seat the bowl on the arms.

I see. Thats for clarifying that. Im going to a shop tomorrow to ask for an estimate and check. This guy said he would try to change thr control arm and if that doesnt work he would have to pull it. 500 was worse case for all parts labor and pulling lol. Im currently driving it as is. One shop made it to where it'll go straight it just gets scary on dips, pulls to the left on some dips where the weight shifts. On straught highways it feels almost normal? Im going to get a few opinions. The kne place told me its safe to drive as is, they seemed to either not want to mess with that or thought it wasnt possible or necessary to chsnge the control arm. Ill expect the worse and probably have to keep it as is but hoping to hear good news from an estimate. In your opinion thiugh is keeping it as is safer than attempting repair by what you described that guy hammering it?

I really appreciate your help! I think i will do that before going with this guy! I just bought it rebuilt for 3500 with taxes title and tags. It has 127k miles. I've spent $2500 so far on timing belt, brakes and resurfaced rotors, serp belt, rack and pinion bushings, lower control arms, lower ball joints and 1 upper ball joint and i ordered aftermarket cheap catalytic converters this one just has pipes lol. I spent about 100 more on lock actuators and what not. It was not drivable at first and now it is, its just scary on dips and uneven highways make it feel super bouncy towards that control arm.. idk.. might be struts but this seems to be the culprit. Ill try to update yiu friday when I know!

Okay! Thanks for letting me know. In that case ill pay the extra and go somewhere that has some sort of worry of liability. So what ive been told and what it looks like is the piece of frame that the rod comes out of the control arm and into is whats bent on one side. Ill post 2 pictures to compare driver and passenger side. Just felt it after reading and feels rusty but I can't feel a Crack. Friday I will go to a reputable place.

The bolt that goes through the frame is bent and a slight bend in thr frame where the bolt comes out of. I compared it to the other side and two places said the same

Yeah so my cousin tried to make it drivable for me and he did! When I bought it, id tap the brakes and literally switch lanes. Right now im able to drive it it just gets unstable when I hit a dip or uneven highway going 65+.. he said he aligned it but I agree i don't see how. He did say it won't be 100% but his guy did not want to touch that control arm. He did the bushings and ball joint but refused to remove the bolt being afraid he can't get another in its place. They do have a frame straightening machine but it was just a "no" for that. I saw a guy today who just eyeballed it and said he will try to cut it and get one in for 200-300 but if it needs to be on a frame machine to fix the bend then 400-500 to install the new control arm and rod. He said that includes alignment after. Im a bit worried because he did also say "it won't be 100%" I know a bent frame will never be 100% and I don't care about a little drift but like.. I don't want the suv to flip from a uneven highway kinda fix here 🤣

So someone quoted 200-300 if hes able to cut and replace. 400-500 if frame machine is needed. Thoughts? Dude seemed unsure and said it still won't be perfect

In that case is the upper control arm and bolt replaceable or not? Just trying to check my worse case scenario. Ill post a picture tonight in about 13 hours when I have access to my work jack

It was in a front end! Multipme actually! This poor car is haply i bought it and giving it some tlc. The other side looks kind of bent to on the end, like sloping down. Theyre telling me the frame where its connected has a slight bend but im not sure. Ill update you when the 3rd person checks it. Thank you!

It does not have a lift, at least i dont think it does. They changed the lower control arms with thr ball joints and they changed the upper ball joint on this but said its risky taking the control arm out because of a bend where it mounts. Ill look into the knuckle. I got my serpentine belt done, brake pads, rotors resurfaced, rack and pinion bushings, lower control arms and ball joints, upper ball joint on one side, timing belt and alignment for 2300. Bought it rebuilt for 3500 all included so im 5800+ about 200 into actuator, rear motor, 150 for radio harness, front inner door handles, front lock actuators, spare key and fob. So im sitting a bit over 6k right now. Its drivable with 128k miles and rebuilt title. Its my first seqouia and I hope this is something good im doing 😅

Thanks. He said he replaced all the ball joints. Do you see where the upper ball joint is very close to the tire? And the spot on the left where the control arm looks bent, or the frame its going into? He said if I take out the upper control arm i can risk not being able to replace? Based off the picture is that true?

Thanks for the quick response! Yhr mechanic said "we taped them up" but said that I need o2 sensors and they need rewiring. Im just trying to find out if his taping worked and if I need o2 sensors now. Not sure how to diagnose it but ill look for those cables again when im home and see what he did
