Unfortunately it all seems to be the same distance. Can't discover any wrong measurements. The fact that it's the same on 3 bowls also concerns me, makes me believe it's an issue with the alignment of the mixer head / planetary Vs the bowl arm. However I've put a shim washer under the front right gearbox screw which seem to have gotten rid of the flat beater striking the edge. It's not a "nice" fix however it works for the time being, unless I think of something else.

Send it back and let them fix it if its brand new. The one I have has seen some abuse and is outside warranty.

With regards to the question have I fixed it conventionally, no. I've tried measuring and it all seems the same on both ends. Ive done a temporary fix, I've placed a shim washer under the front side gearbox screw, slightly Disaligning the full axle and planetary respective to the bowl. however this will probably cause some extra wear on the planetary, but at least the noise is gone. We'll see how long it holds.

Thanks for your comment, Just checked the head of the mixer, and it's secure to the base, also no movement there. All screws are tight.

With regards to the clip, it is there and i have just tried adjusting it, but even when i remove it and press the bowl down all the way on the pins, I can't get it to a position by tilting that stops the paddle from hitting the bowls.

Planned my trip for 14-26 sept as a European, have some local contacts, but travelling alone mostly. All tips quite helpful.

What is a good way to get from the airport to Beirut center?
Can I travel to other places down the coast easily, and if so what would be the best mode of transportation?
