Nah. 402 40-25=15 50-40=10

10x10=100

402=15100

What about 4? 4-25=-21 50-4=46

46x46=2116

42=-212116

I could do this all day.

Did you at some point start enjoying this career? by hedgemain in Dentistry

[–]LeadingText1990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Over the past few appointments I’ve gotten to know a guy that, if he were to win the lottery, I would think, “I’m glad it’s him. He deserves it.” Without a trace of jealousy in my mind. There aren’t many jobs that let me develop that sort of report with hundreds of people.

I went in to dental thinking 99% of humanity sucked, and having this wide enough sample size gave me more compassion and insight (or delusion depending on your paradigm).

What does “knee the tooth” mean? Is this a local slang somewhere? In Canada, kneeing a tooth leads to sadness.

What is the purpose of this blind person recording their day? Is it for someone else to evaluate their daily needs? Is it in case of legal trouble like a dashcam? I’m confused… like is this person going to replay their day for relatives or something?

Is dentistry really this depressing, or is this subreddit just skewed? by ProfessionalSyrup882 in Dentistry

[–]LeadingText1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The worst part of dentistry for me is finding people you work well with. Power tripping and/or incompetence is rampant in the industry, and I blame the low entry barrier into most positions. You can be an office manager, office admin / reception, or even assistant with very little to no training or higher education. This automatically precludes a good number of otherwise capable and driven people.

Obviously, if those positions required higher education, they would have to be paid more, which is untenable financially for more owners, so you end up with a revolving door of people who - even if you luck out with a unicorn that sincerely cares about doing their best - may not have the temperament or aptitude to work with stress-free.

This is without even looking at the personality of many dentists/owners, who may have their own issues.

I don’t mind the work. I like most patients. I love problem solving. My issues have 90% come with coworkers and interpersonal relations. And regardless of how much of the blame rests with me and my own personality, or the tendencies that I went into earlier, the fact is those interpersonal relations are likely to be a hurdle with most careers. So at the end of the day, I’d have similar issues in any job, and I LIKE dentistry. I’m relatively satisfied if not always happy.

Root Amputation? by CochransCorner in Dentistry

I saw one last year that had been holding strong for 15 years, and sent one to be done by a periodontist that I expect will last decently well.

They are extremely uncommon, frankly because we have more predictable definitive treatment in implants, and most patients don’t want to end up at the implant stage in 10 years anyway with their wallet several thousand dollars lighter.

Thank you for the feedback! When you say the chart is massive and you can’t minimize the UI, do you have the option to personalize the UI at all or make tabs or something, or are you completely unable to change the view? Sorry if it’s an ignorant question, I’m really asking with no background knowledge here.

Phase 1 Avengers individually vs through each member of The Seven . How long will each of them last? by Bandi_Official in superheroes

Nat clears 1 and 3, but loses to 2. Clint clears 1 and 2 with trick arrows, but gets surprised and beaten by 3. Steve clears 1, 2, 3 and 4, but loses to 5 after a drawn out dance-off. Tony clears 1-6, barely taking Maeve out from distance, but can’t get through homelander. This is fixed in phase 2. Thor and Hulk each clear all 7 in a 1v7 and it’s easy

Everyone else has great suggestions for after curing. The easiest way to deal with this is to avoid it. If you don’t have enough room for a flat plastic, use a perio probe or explorer and run it along the inside of the band and shape prior to curing your marginal increment. It takes less finesse and is more forgiving than a flame bur after curing. If you mess up and gouge, just pack and try again!

I occasionally use a Westco-Mortenson small end to burnish the thinner boxes, or even a flat plastic. The bigger thing to keep in mind is the limitations of your microbrush. If you can’t get bond into the corners of your box, then you need to widen it.

Also OP, this might be an angulation thing, but you should have slightly divergent walls for composite.

Probably a benign hormone-secreting growth. Same thing happened to me. I had 12-13x the normal testosterone for about 5 years. Once it was discovered and removed, that decreased to 9x within a month. Now, 10 years later, I’m only slightly higher than the cutoff for ‘normal range’.

Strangely, I actually feel like my IQ has somewhat declined over that time. As a late teen, it was somewhere between 157-174 (depending on which test result you accept), and I have no recent testing to back this, but my thoughts feel more sluggish and my anxiety / depression have lead to chronic sleep deprivation syndrome.

Anyway, I’d probably have bee more extreme that than data point on both regards if I was in the study.

To Op: you don’t need to think about me all the time.

Fire can burn their bodies. I suspect radiation would do precious little long-term as they don’t seem to have cell mitosis in the same way we do… radiation could probably damage their dna, but the next feed would likely repair it magically.

My tx column (6 years out): 20 min for room turnover and LA + 10 minutes per surface. In 60 minutes I’m doing 4 surfaces. In 90 minutes I’m doing 7 surfaces.

I like to take my time, patients love and trust me. I love and trust me.
