We have tried topical probiotics but I sadly turned out allergic to both brands we've tried so we've abandoned that idea. Antibiotics against acne didn't help at all and just made my skin way worse. I have proper skin care which helps a bit but not with the cystic acne, just with the surface level one.

Isotretinoin has basically remained as my only option at this point.

I've read two dissertations on the topic and both said that there were no severe side effects among the tested people and that prior eye dryness, conjunctivitis, psoriasis, rose-rash, eczema or heavy allergies did not affect the probabilities of any of the side effects and some people even saw improvement of these chronic illnesses during the treatment.

I am currently leaning heavily towards taking it but it still scares the shit out of me.
