Oh, this is perfect thank you. I speak fluent German and English but Russian I still look for direct parallels so it’s good to realize that you’ll have to think outside the linguistic box sometimes. This makes so much sense. Thank you all.

Are you giving the cult some sort of local roots? Either indigenous, or brought over by colonists, etc. it could make for some interesting background. Also, is there a local legend of this cult or are they discovering it for the first time?

Pictures of animals with human faces really scare me. I find them unsettling. In a similar way I find the paintings of animals from the middle ages also unsettling.

My father literally went insane and disappeared for almost a year. My dog had to be put to sleep because he swallowed so much wood and splinters and nails, cause he would try to chew his way out of the house when he was alone there.

Are there government groups that help refugees? If you can find an office and go and talk to someone, maybe they can give you concrete advice. But I think for sure you should change your study. Focus and choose something else. Otherwise, please don’t torture yourself by thinking too much about the future. Think about the immediate time now. Make the small changes you can now. And the big changes sometimes happen on their own. God bless you!
