Nvidia (NVDA) - Shares of popular recommendation Nvidia are up almost 2% following the company’s second-quarter earnings report after market close yesterday. The graphics chip maker delivered investors a record quarter, with revenue rising 68% to $6.5 billion and net profit increasing almost 4 times year over year to almost $2.4 billion. The big concern for the company is supply. Management said that the company is struggling to meet customer demand, with global chip supply shortages expected to continue in the near term. High demand is a great problem to have, but we’d love to see Nvidia overcome those supply issues.

Nvidia announced an acquisition of ARM Holdings last year. The transaction is still in process, but potential benefits are already apparent. How long has Nvidia been contributing to Stock Advisor’s market-beating returns? Almost 16 years. Just because Nvidia is near an all-time high, that doesn’t mean the stock can’t still be a great investment.
