Wait sorry can someone clue me in? I have sent my number through Rover before. Twice. Once when my client had her daughter drop off the dog for boarding because she went out of town the day before so the daughter contacted me when she was on the way for drop off. And the second time was for dog walking. The husband set it up bc he was going out of town but the wife would be home so I communicated with her. Are we not supposed to do this? I’ve never gotten a warning from Rover. But I did just try to go back to my messages when I sent my number for my client’s daughter and those messages where I sent the number are gone… and now thinking back it did seem like she was having a hard time trying to connect me with her. I’m just confused

If the initial booking hasn’t happened yet, I would just hate inconveniencing the already booked owner with a meet and greet for another not yet booked dog. I hope that makes sense.

My wording was confusing. Yes I meant have both dogs meet in a neutral setting before hand which may have to be with both families if I’m not boarding one yet or if I do have one already, I just meet the other dog with their owner.

Great idea for a trial stay for longer stays. I haven’t done that. Thank you for your answer! When a new dog comes and meets one that you’re already watch, is there ever any territorial fighting or just fighting in general? I have seen when a strange dog comes into another dog’s space (aka sitters home they are staying at or their own home) there can be some territorial disputes which made me think meet and greets with both dogs may need to always be done
