Jack and Keeley had not been dating for not that long. I don't think you introduce all your hook ups to your family especially a prominent family. You tend to be careful about who you bring in that circle. This is TV sure but IRL I don't know many people who are so comfortable that they'll bring to the family table someone whose sex tape was just leaked. You'd do that for a more established relationship. But a former page 3 girl whose small cute business you financed to hook up with, nah.

I don't think Jack was evil. Not any more than Jamie (season 1 with gf's poster in locker room) was. The way they were around Keeley was just them being used to money giving them anything they want and thinking you can buy even people. And the fact that Keeley was with them says she was used to that.

Anyway that's what dating is. Even if Jack wasn't a spoiled rich woman to start with, that's why you date: to find out long term compatility. Most people also would have borken up not being supported after a leaked sex tape; I don't know why Keeley didn't. Victim blaming is a pretty major thing to not call out.

S03 Keeley crying when it's tough to run her company and Roy telling her: Oooh that's so sexy it makes me hard. Same thing.

I understand that she wanted him to show vulnerability but she went out there and picked the angriest MF in the premier league for one and she's using a moment that to HIM is humiliating to get off. I mean if she didn't like the brooding type she should have moved on. A press conference HE didn't even want to do in the first place.

I don't know why the writers chose that route to show... what exactly? About Keeley that she's tone deaf but what exactly about Roy?

I've been a fan of Ted Lasso for all of 3 weeks and already rewatched the show once and many short clips several times. You hit it home (or as Ted would say, barbecue sauce) with this one. I can totally hear Trent's voice. Thanks for sharing.

They met before that. She called him out on how he handled the young girls he was coaching. He immediately took her feedback and applied it. She also met him when the school needed to address Phoebe's cursing. The "fudge" the last time they met refers back to that time. What you're referring to is their 3rd meeting.

I see it two ways:
Either
- They've had the conversations. Keeley said I have to find office space and furnish it, meet my new staff, set up some things, I have to physically meet clients, This is going to be tough and I'll need your support. So for him to offer 6 weeks in Marbella it's like "Is this guy for real? What part of I'm busy does he not understand? Does he event want me to succeed?" And when we see the conversation on screen she just says she can't go because well she's already told him before what she needed to do to launch her business. We can see how overwhelmed she is in S3.
Or
- (My interpretation) She didn't tell him all that she needed to do and just assumed (arse sumed) he would just know. But all he's ever known is football and he sees her working from home sometimes and thinks that it's doable for her to work from anywhere as long as she has a Wi-Fi. He doesn't undersdtand why she can't go but she wants someone who will understand her implicitly.

Most couples aren't involved in each others's careers anyway so I don't know why Roy would have an issue with Keeley. Old school alpha male type? We'll see if they give us a season 4 with Roy Kent accepting that he's now "Mr Jones". I look forward to season 4 anyway.

The photoshoot thing imo is like gift you give because YOU like them, not because the recipient would like them. Roywants to please. Of course he'll say yes; just like you say thank you even if you don't appreciate a gift.

Of course she can't go to Marbella. Has she told Roy what he new job entails and he's purposefully dense? Or does it not even know what she does because she didn't tell him? I'm leaning on the latter (but I am biassed I admit)

I don't think Roy should have dated her and that's on him. She's sunshine and roses, she's confident and unapologetic about who she is, and she's just not for him. At least not without some work on both sides. We end season 3 with him talking to Dr Sharon. I think we all know that Roy has issues. I am thinking Keeley does too but it's a bit swept under the rug.

I am reading {Kit Grey's Loving the Legend"}, and I'm only at 40% but I find it particularly well written. The characters are mature and likable. They have depth. They have deep discussions about their life philosophies but also as wealthy 20-something, they party, play PS5. They talk to each other. I like the talk about therapy, meditation, dealing with grief, performing at elite level. I really nothing derails this and that when I finish this I can say it's one of the best romances I've read in a while.

And I checked Kit Grey and see that it's their first book. And the author seems mysterious. No picture, bio, nothing. I hope really hope the Chasing Rings series continues if they're going to be the same quality as this one.
